Plaintiff Kathryn T. Guido is an adult individual residing at 285 Reigle View Drive, Carlisle, Cumberland County, Pennsylvania. 2. Defendant, Capitol City Cab Service, Inc. is a business entity with offices located at 1082 Eisenhower Blvd., Steelton, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania. 3. The events hereinafter described occurred on December 5, 2000 at approximately 7:30 p.m. on the Carlisle Pike, in Cumberland County, Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania. 4. Plaintiff, Kathryn T. Guido was operating a 1998 Pontiac Grand Am Sedan and proceeding in an easterly direction on the Carlisle Pike. 5. Defendant, Capitol City Cab Service, Inc. was the owner of a taxi vehicle with License No.: TX 36477 operated by John Scott which was proceeding behind the vehicle operated by Ms. Guido on the Carlisle Pike. 6. The vehicle owned by Defendant, Capitol City Cab Service, Inc., was operated in a negligent manner in that it violently collided with the rear of the Guido vehicle causing property damage to that vehicle as the Guido vehicle was stopped at a reg signal. 7. Capitol City Cab Service, Inc. was negligent through the actions of its driver who was their agent, servant and/or employee, in that it: a. Permitted their taxi to be operated too close to the vehicles proceeding ahead of it; b. Failed to keep an assured clear distance between the vehicles; c. Failed to observe the presence of other vehicles on the roadway; and d. Allowed the Capitol City vehicle to strike the rear of the Guido vehicle. 8. As a direct result of the aforesaid negligence, the Guido vehicle was damaged requiring repairs in the amount of $1,664.15. WHEREFORE, Plaintiff Guido demands Judgment against the Defendant, Capitol City Cab Service, Inc., in the amount of $1,664.15 together with delay damages, interest and costs.
