relationships. At somc point shc moved to Missouri, and thc futhcr was dcnied any conlactfor about a
year until he located thc childrcn with hclp of a dclcctive,
g, During thc summcr of 1998, both childrcn (ages 11 and 13) were with thcir fatherin
Pennsylvania. They both asked to comc livc with him in Pcnnsylvania, When he broachcd thc subject with
thcir mother, shc would not discuss a c1ulIIge in custody, but said it could be reconsidcrcd during the
Christmas visit.

to go live with her t\lthcr, thc mother punchcd hcr with her fist and hurt her. TIle mothcr would not discuss
a changc of custody with the children.
10. lbe childrcn havc been visiting their father as planned during thc Christmas vacation. By
agrcemcnt thcy arc staying through the .lirsl week of January.
11 . Not too long before the Christmas brcak, thc childrcn' s mother was jailed after II fight with
anothcr, adult child ofhcrs, Shc was rclcascd on R.O.R. bail after a bricfincarceration.
12. Just 2 days prior to their leaving Missouri, thc elcctricity was shut ofT. The retngcrator was
not working; thcy had no running watcr; and their mother told thcm she was being evictcd. They had been
evictcd scveral times beforc.
13. Phonc calls to Missouri during thc Christmas visit revealcd that the situation was not
changcd, As of January 6, 1999, in phonc conversation with her older daughtcr. Sunni, the mother
confirmcd that shc still had no running water and e1cctricity und was still being cvicted,
