I have met with inmate Reese, Shakeer CN-6852 and have received documentation from a Native American source authenticating his Faith practice as a Native American, I therefore recommend your authorization of his request for an exception to the Prescriptive Hair Length Policy. I have reminded inmate Reese that he will need to continue to be responsible to maintain acceptable hygienic standards for his hair. I also reminded him that his hair may be searched periodically per security procedures.
