MECHANIC'S LIEN CLAIM
Claimant Richard L. Whisler, t/d/b/a Whisler's Well Drilling, through the undersigned counsel,
files this claim against the improvements and property at Mountain Lane, Newburg, PA, for the
payment of a debt due to claimant as a contractor for labor/materials furnished by claimant in the
erection and construction of the improvements. In support of the claim, the claimant makes the
following statement:
I. The owners of the property are James L. Hoover and Deborah L. Hoover, with an address at
633 Brandy Run Road, Newville, Pennsylvania.
2. The improvement and the property which are subject to lhis claim are more fully set forth in
Exhibit A attached hereto and incorporated by reference herein.
3. The lahar/materials for which the debt is due were furnished for the agreed sum of$ 2,206.58
pursuant to written invoices with the owner dated December 21. 1998 and December 30, 1998,
copies of which are attached as Exhibits B and C respectively.
4. The labor/materials for which the debt is due consisted of well drilling. excavating. and
plumbing supplies.
5. The labor/materials for which the debt is due were furnished pursuant to 3 verbal agreement
with owner. under which contractor was to be paid for time and materials furnished by him at his
standard rates and the prices paid by him for the materials.

RE: Whisler's Well Drilling
Dear James:
I have enclosed a Notice pursuant to Pennsylvania Rule of Civil Procedure 237.1.
I received your recent letter requesting a payment plan. Dick Whisler is willing to accept
$250.00 per month, the first payment to be made no later than Friday, September 10, 1999 and
continuing on the 10th day of each month thereafter until paid in full. As part of the deal, he will
finalize and record a Judgment immediately. If you sell or refinance the property, etc., full
payment would be due at that time. He would agree to refrain from levying on the judgment as
long as you continued to make timely payments.
Please let me know your intentions.
