whereby the said contractor undertook and agreed to perform certain construction
work and to provide certain materials and perform certain work necessary to erect
a dwelling house on the real estate of the owners situate at

NOW, THEREFORE, THIS AGREEMENT WITNESSETH, That the said contractor
for and in consideration of the sum of One ($1.00) Dollar to him in hand paid by the
said owners, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, and further consideration
as agreed upon, for him, his sub-contractors and all parties acting through or under
him, covenants and agrees that no mechanics' lien or liens shall be filed or main-
tained by him, or any of them, against the said house of the owners situated as above
stated, and the plot of ground appurtenant thereto, for or on account of any work done
or materials furnished by him, or any of them, under the said contract or otherwise,
for, towards, in or about the said construction and work at the house of the owners,
and the said contractor for himself and his sub-contractors, and others under him,
hereby expressly waives and relinquishes the right to have, file or maintain any
mechanics' lien or claim against the said house and the plot of ground, and agrees
that this agreement waiving the right of lien shall be an independent contract.
