The tax rate imposed on the net value of transfers to or for the use of the decedent's siblings is twelve (12) percent [72 P.S. {l9116 (a) (1.3)]. A
sibling is defined under Section 9102, as an individual who has at least one parent in common with the decedent, whether by blood or adoption.

The foregoing Inheritance Tax Return reflects the ownership by the decedent of real
estate located at 131 Elm Street, Carlisle, Cumberland County, Pennsylvania at the time
of her death. As the decedent was never married and had no children, her estate passes
by intestate succession to her mother, Lois Taylor, the Administratrix of the esate.
At the time of her death, the decedent's real estate was in poor condition. Her mother, as
Adminitratrix of the estate, determined that she would have the home appraised, which is
reflected on the enclosed documents, and would attempt to put the property into a
position where it could be appropriately marketed. The repairs that were necessary on
the home grew in number and expense, as she attempted to address each of them over a
period of several months. During this period of time, through her own funds contributed
to the estate, the mortgage on the property was maintained.
Ultimately, in the late fall, she made the determination that based upon the rather
substantial repairs that were made to the property, she would simply retain ownership of
the property through estate distribution and accept personal responsibility for all costs
associated with renovation of the property.
The enclosed Inheritance Tax Return does not include any costs of renovation and repairs
to the property that were necessitated due to its poor condition. The Administratrix, who
has now retained ownership of the property, has retained sole responsibility for that
indebtedness. The payoff on the mortgage of the decedent, that existed at the time of
death, is provided for the month of December 2006, as this is when the Administratrix
determined that she would retain the property. Monthly mortgage payments up to that
date are attributable to the estate, as the property was being retained and being repaired
for purposes of sale up to that time.

physically inspected the listed personal property. The personal property was appraised to
determine the FAIR MARKET VALUE, AS OF d.o.d. March 18, 2006 & reported on
April 18, 2006. The date of inspection was April 29, 2006.

. Select the program for viewing photographs and open the program.
3. Click FILE, and Click OPEN.
4. Use the Pull-Down, "Look in" Menu and select the D Drive (D:) or whichever drive
is designated as your CD-ROM (sometimes this may be the E Drive (E:) on your
computer).

. Your CD-ROM Drive is designated with a small CD-ROM graphic Icon or a
cartoon representing the drive.
. The drives of your computer can be found under My Computer section of the Pull-
Down "Look in" Menu. Common Drives are: A Drive (floppy disc drive), the C
Drive (hard disc drive), the D Drive (CD-ROM Drive), and the E Drive (sometimes
CD-ROM Drive; sometimes an external drive, like a CD-ROM Writer, Zip, or Jazz
