Spare, Esquire, of the law firm of Snelbaker, Brenneman & Spare, P.C. does hereby make application to this Court for the appointment of School Police Officers for the Big Spring School District under the provisions of the Public School Code of 1949, as amended, Section 778 (24 P.S. 7-778), and represents as follows: 1. That the Big Spring School District is a duly organized and constituted school district located in Cumberland County, Pennsylvania. That said Big Spring School District is desirous of and in need of School Police Officers to act as policemen of said School District. 3. BAYLEY: The Big Spring School District by its Solicitors, Snelbaker, Brenneman & Spare, P.C., hereby makes application to this Court for the appointment of an additional School Police Officer for the Big Spring School District under the provisions o:t'the Public School Code of 1949, as amended, Section 778 (24 P.S. § 7-778), and represents as follows: SNELBAKEr. BRENNEMAN SPARE 1. By Order of Court dated August 7, 2003, tihis Court appointed certain individuals to serve as School Police Officers for the year ending June 30, 2004. 2. Big Spring School District desires to have the additional person appointed as a School Police Officer for the Big Spring School District for the year ending June 30, 2004: Mr. Jason Yost 150 Whiskey Run Road Newville, PA 17241 3. The Board of School Directors of the Big Spring School District has by resolution adopted on August 18, 2003 expressed its intentions regarding the appointment of Mr. Jason Yost. 4. The August 18, 2003 Order of Court should be modified to provide that the members 0fthe Newville Police Department have the power to exercise the same powers as are now or may hereafter be exercised under the authority of law or ordinance by the police in the wherein the School District property is located. WHEREFORE, The Big Spring School District respectfully requests your Honorable Court to appoint the person set forth above as a School Police Officer for the Big Spring School District with the powers, duties and responsibilities to act as a school police officer for said School District in accordance with the Public School Code of 1949, as amended. Additionally, the August 7, 2003 Order of Court should be modified to provide that the members of the Newville Police Department have the power to exercise the same powers as are now or may hereafter be exercised under the authority of law or ordinance by the police in the municipality wherein the School District property is located.
