Withdraw as Counsel of the Estate of Betty J. Sturn, a Rule is hereby issued upon all
interested parties to show cause why the relief requested should not be granted.
RULE RETURNABLE within 20 days of service. Service of this rule is to be

PETITION TO WITHDRAW AS COUNSEL
OF THE ESTATE OF BETTY J. STUM
1. On or about August 29, 2006, the family of Betty j. Sturn, deceased,
contacted an attorney to investigate a potential medical malpractice claim on behalf of
their late mother.
2. The family was referred to R.J. Marzella and Associates, who agreed to
investigate the care and treatment that Betty j. Sturn received from various medical
providers during the last months of her life.
3. In order for R.j. Marzella and Associates to effectively proceed with the
investigation, it became necessary to file a Petition to open The Estate of Betty j. Sturn
with the Cumberland County Register of Wills. Specifically, R.j. Marzella and Associates
needed to obtain a short certificate, which was required to request medical records of
Mrs. Sturn, deceased, from the various providers on the family's behalf.

4. On September 27,2006, Dianna Clouse, Bonnie Ickes, and Debra Stauffer,
were named Executrixes of the Estate of Betty J. Sturn.
5. After a thorough investigation, because of professional considerations that
have been fully disclosed to the personal representatives of the Estate of Betty J. Sturn,
the undersigned counsel is no longer able to pursue the potential medical malpractice
claim on behalf of the Estate.
6. No other action was instituted by R.j. Marzella and Associates on behalf of
the Estate of Betty j. Sturn in any court oflaw.
7. Undersigned counsel has instructed the Executrixes to obtain new counsel
to undertake representation of the Estate in this matter.
8. Accordingly, the personal representatives of the Estate of Betty j. Sturn are
now seeking new counsel to proceed in further investigating any potential claims and to
continue with the probating of the Estate.
WHEKEFORE, R.J. Marzella and Associates requests the Honorable Court issue an
Order to Withdraw our firm as counsel probating the Estate of Betty J. Sturn.
