ESTATE OF DOROTHY JUSTICE JONES
RELEASE OF BARBARA M. MAFFETT
KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS, that I, BARBARA M. MAFFETT, an
adult individual residing at 15 Dapp Lane, Mechanicsburg, PA, 17050,
hereby avers the following:
WHEREAS, Dorothy Justice Jones, who resided in Silver Springs
Township, Cumberland County, Pennsylvania, died testate on
October 13, 2006; and,
WHEREAS, on November 17, 2006, Barbara J. Maffett and Richard F.
Maffett, Jr. were appointed as Executors of the Estate of Dorothy
Justice Jones, Deceased; and,
WHEREAS, the heir of the Estate of Dorothy Justice Jones,
Deceased, is Barbara J. Maffett, Daughter.
WHEREAS, having reviewed the Final Distribution Summary and
Estate Tax Return for said Estate, I fully accept and agree with the
terms therein; and,
WHEREAS, it is my desire that final distribution of this Estate
be accomplished without a formal accounting to the Court of Common
Pleas of Cumberland County, it being my desire to avoid the expense,
delay and publicity of a formal accounting.
I, BARBARA M. MAFFETT, do hereby acknowledge that I am entitled
to receive the entire residuary estate of my mother, DOROTHY JUSTICE
JONES, which amounts to $458,095.06.
THEREFORE, I, BARBARA M. MAFFETT, do hereby accept from the
Estate of Dorothy Justice Jones assets having a value of $458,095.06,
in full satisfaction and payment of all such sum, or sums of money,
and share, or shares, of said Estate due, owing, payable and
belonging to me, by any means whatsoever, for or on account of my
status as a beneficiary to the Estate of Dorothy Justice Jones.
AND, THEREFORE, I do by these presents, remise, release and
forever discharge the Estate of Dorothy Justice Jones, its Executors,
Barbara M. Maffett and Richard F. Maffett, Jr., and its attorney,
Richard F. Maffett, Jr., Esquire, of and from any liability beyond
the receipt of the aforesaid share, and from all actions, suits,
payment, accounts, claims and demands whatsoever, for or by reason
thereof, or for any other act, matter, cause or thing whatsoever.
Should additional liabilities of the Estate occur, I further
agree to indemnify the Estate of Dorothy Justice Jones for any
additional costs it may incur.
