For dates of death on or after July 1, 1994 and before January 1, 1995, the tax rate imposed on the net value of transfers to or for the use of the surviving spouse
is three (3) percent [72 P.S. ~9116 (a) (1.1) (i)).
For dates of death on or after January 1, 1995, the tax rate imposed on the net value of transfers to or for the use of the surviving spouse is zero (0) percent
[72 P.S. ~9116 (a) (1.1) (ii)]. The statute does not exempt a transfer to a surviving spouse from tax, and the statutory requirements for disclosure of assets and
filing a tax return are still applicable even if the surviving spouse is the only beneficiary.
For dates of death on or after July 1, 2000:
The tax rate imposed on the net value of transfers from a deceased child twenty-one years of age or younger at death to or for the use of a natural parent, an
adoptive parent, or a stepparent of the child is zero (0) percent [72 P.S. ~9116(a)(1.2)].
The tax rate imposed on the net value of transfers to or for the use of the decedent's lineal beneficiaries is four and one-half (4.5) percent, except as noted in
72 P.S. ~9116(1.2) [72 P.S. ~9116(a)(1)].
The tax rate imposed on the net value of transfers to or for the use of the decedent's siblings is twelve (12) percent [72 P.S. ~9116(a)(1.3)]. A sibling is defined, under
Section 9102, as an individual who has at least one parent in common with the decedent, whether by blood or adoption.

understanding, do make and publish this my Last Will and
Testament, hereby revoking and making void all former Wills by me
at any time heretofore made.

I direct that all my just debts,
funeral expenses and inheritance taxes which may become due as a

conveniently may be after my decease.

of Camp Hill, Pennsylvania, Grantor, party of the first part,
AND
DAVID F. MOYER, of the Borough of Camp Hill, County of Cumberland, Commonwealth of
Pennsylvania, Grantee, party of the second part:
WHEREAS, the said Ernest M. Clay died testate on June 26, 2007, whereupon
Letters Testamentary were issued by the Register of Wills of Cumberland County,
Pennsylvania, to the Grantor herein, and
WHEREAS, no specific devise of the real estate was made in the Last Will of Ernest
M. Clay, Deceased, and, pursuant to the provisions of the Probate, Estates and Fiduciaries
Code, and the authority therein granted to the personal representative of an Estate, a
private sale has been conducted and the Grantee herein has agreed to purchase the
hereinafter-described premises for the consideration hereinafter stated.
NOW, THEREFORE, and in consideration of the sum of One Hundred Fifty-Two
Thousand ($152,000.00) Dollars in hand paid by the Grantee to the Grantor, on or before
the delivery of the within Deed, the party of the first part, has granted and conveyed and
does hereby grant and convey to the party of the second, his heirs and assigns forever:
ALL THAT CERTAIN tract or parcel of land situate in the Borough of Camp Hill,
Cumberland County, Pennsylvania, bounded and described as follows:
BEGINNING at an iron pin on the western line of North Seventeenth Street, fifty-five
and sixty-five hundredths (55.65) feet north of the line of land now or formerly of R. W.
Line, at the division line between Lots Nos. 22 and 23; thence south eighty-six degrees
forty minutes (860 40') west along said division line, one hundred (100) feet to a stake at
the eastern line of Lot No. 24; thence north three degrees twenty minutes (30 20') west

Having thereon erected a two story brick dwelling numbered 306 North Seventeenth
Street, Camp Hill, Pennsylvania,
BEING Lot 22 on Revised Plan of Lots Nos. 22 to 29 inclusive, vicinity of
Seventeenth and Lincoln Street, which Plan is recorded at the Office of the Recorder of
Deeds in and for Cumberland County.
BEING the same premises which Ellery E. Say and Ruth W. Say, his wife, by their
Deed dated August 8, 1964 and recorded in the Office of the Recorder of Deeds of
Cumberland County in Deed Book H, Volume 21, Page 972, granted and conveyed unto
Ernest M. Clay and Clara B. Clay, his wife. The said Clara B. Clay predeceased her
husband, having died on October 30, 1994, as a result of which full and complete title to
the within premises vested solely in Ernest M. Clay who, as heretofore recited, died,
testate, on June 26, 2007.
TOGETHER with all and singular the buildings and improvements, ways, waters,
water-courses, rights, liberties, privileges, hereditaments and appurtenances and
whatsoever thereunto belonging or in anywise appertaining, and the reversions and
remainders, rents, issues, and profits thereof; and all the estate, right, title, interest,
property, claim and demand whatsoever of the said Eugene O. Clay, Executor of the
Estate of Ernest M. Clay, party of the first part, in law, equity or otherwise, howsoever, in
and to the same and every part thereof.
TO HAVE AND TO HOLD the said granted premises to the said party of the second
part, his heirs and assigns forever. The said Executor aforesaid does covenant, promise,
grant, agree to and with the said party of the second part, his heirs and assigns, by these
presents that Eugene O. Clay, the said Executor, has not done, committed or knowingly or
willingly suffered to be done any act, matter or thing whatsoever, whereby the premises
aforesaid, or any part thereof, shall or may be charged or incumbered in title, charge or
estate, or otherwise howsoever.
