Act 248 of 1982 provides for a uniform method for calculating interest on a per diem 0
basis using an annual rate of interest that varies from calendar year to calendar year.
The annual rate of interest for 2008 will be 70/0 per annum (or a daily interest factor of
.000192)
This rate takes effect January 1, 2008.
Please bring this matter to the attention of those personnel under your supervision who
are required to perform interest calculations.
