Dear Ms. Strasbaugh:
I am in receipt of your letter dated February 4,2008, regarding a failure to file a Status
Report. Unfortunately, I am at a loss as to how to proceed. This estate is probably worth
less than $2,500.00. There are some bills. a very small amount of cash, and an old
automobile. The only real reason an estate was opened was so that the vehicle could be
disposed of.
Unfortunately, I have lost contact with the personal representative for the estate. After
we opened the estate, I made several phone calls to her. In addition, I wrote to her on
November 1,2006, March 9,2007, December 31,2007. and February 6,2008. Each of
my letters explained that additional work was necessary, and that she should call me as
soon as possible. Unfortunately, she has not responded to my requests.
Therefore, I do not believe I can proceed without her assistance or approval. More than
that, she has the information that I need to proceed.
I would be extremely appreciative if you could please review this situation. I will try to
call you within several days so that we can discuss how I should proceed. If there are any
questions or problems in the meantime, please do not hesitate to contact me. Otherwise, I
certainly thank you for your courtesy and consideration herein.
