Dear Mr. Costen:
Your letter of Feb. 12th especially the first page is bizarre, at best.
However, thank you for your explanation as to my first two concerns. It's nice to
know there isn't a single thing my sister did for our mother, while in her care, that she
wasn't financially compensated for.
I was unable to attend the funeral dinner, but even if I had, talking to you, at that
time, would have been inappropriate and the last thing on my mind.
More to the point, I am still concerned that you have not addressed your
relationship and fees ofapprox. $1500.00 in your first letter. You were not appointed as
attorney for my mother's estate. I assume you are the attorney for Mary Ann Marte.
Your fees are an expense to be paid by her, not my mother's estate. Why are you
indicating in your letter to me what your fees will be ? You are not my attorney.
Your closing statement that if I were to opt out of being a co-administrator of my
mother's estate, it would be less costly, more straightforward and less expeditious, is not
understood. Why would it be more costly, less straightforward and expeditious? I have
a difficult time believing this is the real reason both you and Mary Ann Marte do not
want me to be co-administrator of my mother's estate.
As I have previously indicated to you, I do indeed want to be co-administrator of
Sophie Yasko' s estate.
As I have previously requested, and still not answered, who are you representing?
If it is Mary Ann Marte, your attorney fees are not a debit to my mother's estate but
rather her personal expense.
