were held:)
5
THE COURT: Come right up here and have a
6 seat, ma'am, right there. Ms. Neely, I have two letters
7 from you. Are you aware of those?
8
MS. NEELY: (Nodded)
9
THE COURT: You have to speak up.
10
MS. NEELY: Yes, I have.
11
THE COURT: You signed them?
12
MS. NEELY: Yes.
13
THE COURT: They are typed. Who typed them?
14 Did you type these letters either on a computer or on a
15 typewriter?
16
MS. NEELY: Yes.
17
THE COURT: What did you type them on?
18
MS. NEELY: On a typewriter I have at home.
19
THE COURT: You personally typed these

21
MS. NEELY: Yes.
22
THE COURT: Did anybody help you?
23
MS. NEELY: No.
24
THE COURT: So you are telling me this is

MR. HALL: Just read that. Just read --
4
THE COURT: Sit down.
5
MR. HALL: Is it okay if I leave?
6
THE COURT: You may certainly leave.
7
MR. HALL: I'm leaving right now. Babe, just
8 read that note I gave you. That's all you got to do. You
9 don't have to answer him. That's the most important thing.
10 Read your letter right now.
11
MS. NEELY:
(Inaudible)
12
THE COURT: Ma'am, ma'am, stop. Ma'am, stop.
13 Stop and have a seat. Ma'am, sit down, please. Now, I just
14
asked you a very simple question.
If you remember, you
15 remember. If you don't, you don't. When did you type these
16 letters out yourself you told me? You don't remember?
17
MS. NEELY: No.
18
THE COURT: You don't remember. The man that
19 just walked out, had a little fit, did he type the letters?
20
MS. NEELY: No.
21
THE COURT: Was he present when these were
22 prepared?
23
MS. NEELY: I was there.
24
THE COURT: Pardon me?
25
MS. NEELY: I was there.
3
5
THE COURT: Was he there?
MS. NEELY: No.
THE COURT: Who is that? What's his name?

15 THE COURT: Okay. Where is the typewriter
16 that you typed these out on? Is it in that residence?
17 MS. NEELY: I have one.
18 THE COURT: Is the typewriter that you typed
19 these letters on in that residence? That's all I'm asking
20 you.
21 MS. NEELY: Yes.
22 THE COURT: Where is it in the residence?
23 MS. NEELY: Downstairs in my house.
24 THE COURT: In what room?
25 MS. NEELY: Huh?
MS. NEELY: I don't understand you.
THE COURT: Where do you live, ma'am?
MS. NEELY: I live at 59 North East Street.
THE COURT: Does Neil Hall live there?
MS. NEELY: Huh?
THE COURT: Does Neil Hall live there?

MS. NEELY: In the office. I have an office

4
THE COURT: Okay. That's where the

6
MS. NEELY: Yes.
7
THE COURT: And Neil Hall wasn't present?
8
MS. NEELY: Yes.
9
THE COURT: Be was or was not present?
10
MS. NEELY: No.
11
THE COURT: He wasn't. This is all you --
12 all you're telling me is that everything here is what you
13 wrote and what you thought to write to me?
14
MS. NEELY: Yes.
15
THE COURT: Okay. I'm going to enter this
16 order. This matter having been called for a full
17 guardianship hearing this date, and upon the request of
18 Janette Neely for a continuance, the continuance is granted.
19 A full guardianship hearing shall be conducted on Wednesday,
20 March 5, 2008, at 8:45 a.m., in Courtroom No.2, Cumberland
21 County Courthouse, Carlisle, Pennsylvania. In the interim,
22 within two weeks, at a time set by the temporary guardian,
23 Janette Neely shall submit to a forensic examination by John
24 Bume, M.D., a psychiatrist, at a location chosen by Dr. Bume
25 with no one else present. If Janette Neely herself retains
5
12
13
1 another lawyer to represent her at the hearing on March 5,
2 2008, and that lawyer enters an appearance, such appearance
3 shall at that point supersede the appointment of William
4 Daniels, Esquire, as her counsel. Said attorney and any
:, expert retained by said attorney shall be paid for by the
6 temporary plenary guardian of the estate. Pending further
7 order of court following said hearing, the temporary
8 guardianship of both the person and the estate of Janette
9 Neely shall remain in full force and effect.
10
Do you understand what I just said? Don't
11 read me that. Do you understand what I just said?
MS. NEELY: I didn't hear a word you said.
THE COURT: You didn't hear it. Okay. Well,
14 the temporary guardian will explain to her exactly what the
15 situation is and get her a copy of this order personally.
16 In fact, before she leaves the courthouse, Pamela, you
17 prepare the order. I will sign it. We will give you a copy
18 of it personally, and we will go from there. Court is
19 adjourned.
