I,
Joanne Conrad, your Petitioner, files this Petition for Settlement of a Small Estate under
the provisions of Section 3102 of the Probate, Estates and Fiduciaries Code and in support
thereof avers that:
(1 ) Your Petitioner, Joanne Conrad, is a competent adult residing at 1811 Centerville
Road, Newville, Pennsylvania, 17241, and is the child of the above decedent.
(2) Joseph W. Bailey, father of the Petitioner died on April 11, 2002, at the age of 69
years, but prior thereto lived and was domiciled at 1908 Douglas Drive, Carlisle,
Pennsylvania, Cumberland County, Pennsylvania. He died with a Will and no
letters Testamentary have been issued.
(3) Joseph W. Bailey had no probate estate when he died other than one Series EE
Savings Bond. A copy of the bond and inventory indicating an approximate value
of$45.36 are attached hereto as "Exhibit A."
(4) The sole heirs and next of kin and their relationship to the decedent are as follows:
Joanne Conrad, daughter
Gary L. Bailey, son
Judy Hefflefinger, daughter
Linda Gutshall, daughter
Karen Shughart, daughter
Sharon Goodling, daughter
( 5) Your Petitioner avers that there are no creditors of the decedent and no claims
unpaid known to your Petitioner.
(6) Your Petitioner avers that the distribution will be divided equally among the six
(6) heirs of Joseph W. Bailey that are named above.
WHEREFORE, your Petitioner respectfully requests that an Order be made authorizing
Petitioner to cash in and liquidate the Series EE Savings Bond and distribute the proceeds in
equal shares to the children of Joseph W. Bailey, pursuant to Section 3102 of the Probate, Estates
and Fiduciaries Code.
