SECOND: I g~ve, devise and bequeath the residue of my estate, of every
nature and wherever s~tuate, to my Husband, RONALD L. BREHM, providing he shall
survive me by thirty (30) days
THIRD: Should my Husband, RONALD L. BREHM, predecease me
or die on or before the thirtieth day following my death, I give and bequeath certain of
my miscellaneous household goods, personal effects, furniture and jewelry to the
persons designated m accordance w~th my last-dated memorandum prepared by me
prior to my death and enclosed with th~s my Last Will and Testament.
FOURTH: Should my Husband, RONALD L. BREHM, predecease me
or die on or before the thmieth day following my death, I gwe, demse and bequeath the
residue of my estate, of every nature and wherever s~tuate, equally to my children,
namely, to wit, STEFFEN L. BREHM, KENNETH W. BREHM, JEFFERY C. BREHM
and LESLIE M. BREHM, provided that the share of any child who predeceases me or
dies on or before the thirtieth day following my death, shall be &stnbuted to his issue,
per stirpes, hwng on the thirty-first day following my death, and m default of such then-

For dates of death on or after July 1, 1994 and before January 1, 1995, the tax rate imposed on the net value of transfers to or for the use of the surviving spouse is 3% [72P.S. Sec. 9116(a) (1.1)(I)].
For dates of death on or after January 1, 1995, the tax rate imposed on the net value of transfers to or for the use of the surviving spouse is 0% [72 P.S. Sec. 9116(a)(1.1 )(ii)].
The statute does not exempt a transfer to a surviving spouse from tax, and the statutory requirements for disclosure of assets and filing a tax return are still applicable even if the surviving spouse is the
only beneficiary.
For dates of death on or after July 1, 2000:
The tax rate imposed on the net value of transfers from a deseased child twenty-one years of age or younger at death to or for the use of a natural parent, an adoptive parent,
or a stepparent of the child is 0% [72 P.S. Sec. gl 16(a)(1.2)].
The tax rate imposed on the net value of transfers to or for the use of the decedent's lineal beneficiaries is 4.5%, except as noted in 72 P.S. Sec. 9116(1.2) [72 P.S. Sec.9116(a)(1).
The tax rate imposed on the net value of transfers to or for the use of the decedent's siblings is 12% [72 P.S. Sec.9116(a)(l.3)]. A sibling is defined, under Section 9102, as an
individual who has at least one parent in common w;th the decedent, whether by blood or adoption.

Pennsylvania, being of sound and disposing mind, memory and understanding, do hereby
make, publish and declare this as and for my Last Will and Testament, hereby revoking
all other wills and codicils heretofore made by me.
FIRST: I direct that all my just debts and funeral expenses, including
my grave marker, shall be paid from the assets of my estate as soon as practicable after
my decease.
SECOND: I give, devise and bequeath the residue of my estate, of every
nature and wherever situate, to my Husband, RONALD L. BREHM, providing he shall
survive me by thirty (30) days.
THIRD: Should my Husband, RONALD L. BREHM, predecease me
or die on or before the thirtieth day following my death, I give and bequeath certain of
my miscellaneous household goods, personal effects, furniture and jewelry to the

In accordance with your request to Wilbert L. Diehl, I, Charles Wenger, was asked to do an
appraisal on the above captioned property. On March 10, 2004, I viewed the property with Mr.
Brehm to estimate the Market Value as of that date.
Market Value is defined as "The highest price for which a property would sell, assuming a
reasonable time for the sale and a knowledgeable Buyer and Seller acting without duress." A
reasonable time would be six to nine months in today's market.
The value shown has been arrived at after careful study of the location, type of improvements,
their physical condition and their present use. Therefore, I believe it to reflect a true measure of
the Market Value as of March 10, 2004

The subject properties are located approximately 1 mile north of the Borough of
Carlisle in North Middleton Township along S.R. 34 north, also known as Spring
Road.

The purpose of the appraisal is to estimate Market Value of the properties as of
March 10, 2004.
MARKET
VALUE:
Market value is defined as "At a given time, the highest price estimated in terms
of money which a Buyer would be warranted in paying and a Seller justified in
accepting, provided both parties were fully informed acted intelligently and
voluntarily and further that all rights and benefits inherent in or attributed to the

APPROACH:
A survey of properties that have sold was used in arriving at this conclusion.
Since no two properties are ever identical, it was necessary to make adjustments
on each comparable sale as related to the subject property. These adjustments
were made on time of sale, size, location and utilities as well as any other factors
that may affect value. From this analysis the Market Value is best estimated to be:

If any tax due is paid within three (3) calendar months after the dacedent's death, a five percent (SI) discount
of the tax paid is aLlowed.
The 1SI tax amnesty non-participation penalty is computed on the total of the tax and interest assessed, and not
paid before January 18, 1996, the first day after the end of the tax amnesty period.
Interest is charged beginning with first day of delinquency or nine (9) months and one (l) day from the date of
death to the date of payment. Taxes which became delinquent before January 1, 19BI bear interest at the rate of
six (6Z) percent per annum calculated at a daily rate of .000164. All taxes which became delinquent on and after
January l, 198Z will bear interest at a rate which will vary from calendar year to calendar year with that rate
