ALTERNATE CALCULATIONS The commercial buildings and lots identified on Schedule A were listed with a realtor for sale soon after the Estate and the Church terminated their Agreement of Sale because of numerous defaults on the part of the buyer. If the commercial buildings are not sold by September 2003, the Estate will negotiate a voluntary repossession with Allfirst, who holds the mortgage. The Estate has been notified by the City of Harrisburg to tear down one of the buildings. The other building needs numerous repairs. There are real estate taxes owed and on-going utility payments and insurance premiums on the vacant properties. Unless the commercial properties are sold, the Estate will have no monies to meet these obligations nor other indebtedness of the decedent. The Estate believes that little, if any, inheritance taxes will be owed because of the exorbitant expenses attached to the commercial properties. However, an estimated payment in the amount of $1,620.00 is being made with the filing of this return (72,000.00 Schedule G transfer less 36,000.00 Schedule H adjusted expenses) ~ 4.5%.
