Inheritance tax for Betty L. McCauslin Estate
File No: 21-03-0378
Dear Glenda:
I was surprised to recently receive a Dunning Notice from the Department of Revenue for
inheritance taxes claimed due from the Betty McCauslin estate. I was directed in this Notice to make
payment to Your office.
I enclose a photocopy of an official receipt received from your office when we made payment
of this tax on June 30, 2003. Since payment was made within 90 days the estate was entitled to a 5%
discount. When this is applied to the amount on the receipt it covers the entire amount of tax shown
due on the Dunning Notice.
I ask that you research your office records and reconcile this matter with the Department of
Revenue. Please let me know the results of your investigation.

Consumer Rated Condition: Good
"Good" condition means that the vehicle is free of any major defects.
The paint, body and interior have only minor (if any) blemishes, and
there are no major mechanical problems. In states where rust is a
problem, this should be very minimal, and a deduction should be
made to correct it. The tires match and have substantial tread wear
left, A clean title history. A "good" vehicle will need some
reconditioning to be sold at retail; however major reconditioning
should be deducted from the value. Most recent model cars owned by
consumers fall into this category,
Private Party Value $2,840
Private Party value represents what you might expect to pay for a
used car when purchasing from a private party. It may also represent
the value you might expect to receive when selling your own used
car to another private party.
