PETITION TO TRANSFER OWNERSHIP OF VEHICLE TITLE
1. On May 23, 2008, Daniel E. Brown purchased a 1982 Yamaha Virago from Craig R.
Brown for the amount of Four Hundred Fifty ($450.00) dollars.
2. This purchase was made as a result of an advertisement on Craig's List.
3. On May 23, 2008, when the vehicle was purchased, an attempt to transfer the title was
made in the presence of a notary public in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania.
4. At that time, it was discovered that the title in the possession of Craig R. Brown was
actually a reconstructed title due to body repair performed on the vehicle. The
reconstructed title is attached as Exhibit A.
5. Mr. Daniel Brown had traveled for four hours round trip in order to purchase the
motorcycle.
6. Daniel E. Brown agreed to purchase the vehicle from Craig Brown with the
understanding that Craig Brown would assist in obtaining a correct title and to
subsequently transfer the title to Mr. Daniel Brown.
7. A receipt was not provided by Mr. Craig Brown for the Four Hundred Fifty ($450.00)
tendered for the purchase of the motorcycle.
8. The odometer reading on the vehicle is 6,295.
9. Daniel E. Brown contacted Trooper Robert Jackson, a Pennsylvania State Police Officer,
to inquire as to the procedure to obtain a corrected title, with subsequent transfer by Mr.
Craig Brown. Trooper Jackson's contact information is: 717-671-7547.
10. Trooper Jackson proceeded to investigate the respective Vehicle Identification Numbers
(VIN#) from the title and vehicle itself.
11. The VIN # noted on the reconstructed title is 1OL003191.
12. The VIN # noted on the vehicle is JYA24M002DA003790.
13. Trooper Jackson contacted Daniel Brown to notify him that the vehicle was indeed titled
to Mr. Craig Brown, however, the original title had been issued in Massachusetts.
14. Trooper Jackson's investigation showed that the original title was purged in 2005.

15. Mr. Craig Brown was contacted and agreed to attempt to obtain a duplicate title.
16. Mr. Craig Brown indicated that he made several attempts to obtain a duplicate title.
However, Mr. Craig Brown did not obtain a duplicate title to provide to Mr. Daniel
Brown.
17. All additional attempts to contact Mr. Craig Brown to further resolve this issue have gone
answered.
18. In order to obtain a lawful vehicle title, Trooper Jackson instructed Daniel Brown to
prepare a Petition to Transfer Ownership of a Motorcycle Title and to file same with the
courthouse of the county in which he is a resident.
19. The vehicle has remained in the possession of Daniel E. Brown since May 23, 2008.
20. Mr. Craig Brown's place of residence is in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania. Exact address
is not known.
21. The address listed on the reconstructed title for Mr. Craig Brown is 414 Fairfax Drive,
Exton, PA 19341.
22. Mr. Craig Brown's telephone number is 484-753-1001.
Due to the above-referenced information, Mr. Daniel Brown is petitioning the Court to
execute an Order of Court transferring ownership of the said 1982 Yamaha Virago with the
VIN# of JYA24M002DA003790 from Craig R. Brown to Daniel E. Brown allowing Mr. Daniel
Brown to obtain a correct title through the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation in order
to lawfully possess the vehicle.
