PETITION FOR EMANCIPATION
NOW COMES Petitioner, Lacey Sebers, and in support avers the following:
1. Petitioner is Lacey Sebers, a minor, born on 10/30/92.
2. Petitioner does not live with either her mother or father.
3. Petitioner's father is incarcerated at SCI - Graterford, Gaterford, Pennsylvania
19426.
4. Petitioner's mother, Terssa Harper, resides at 1 High Street, Boiling Springs,
Cumberland County, Pennsylvania 17007.
5. Petitioner is not dependent upon Mother or Father for financial support.
6. It is averred and therefore believed that Petitioner will not be claimed as a
dependent by either Mother or Father.
7. Neither Mother nor Father exert any control over Petitioner's daily life.
8. Petitioner is able to financially support herself; Petitioner works part-time for
Bonanza located at 909 Walnut Bottom Road, Carlisle, Cumberland County, Pennsylvania.
9. Petitioner presently resides with her paternal grandmother at 590 Mt. Rock Road,
Newville, Cumberland County, Pennsylvania 17241.
10. Petitioner had resided with Mother until Mother asked the Petitioner to leave her
residence.
11. Petitioner's Mother consistently fails to provide Petitioner with care, including but
not limited to medical care.
12. Petitioner is unable to obtain CHIP or similar health assistance as a minor while
still under the care of her Mother.
13. Petitioner was recently diagnosed with a medical condition which required
attention and Mother refused to give any aid or assistance to Petitioner.
14. Petitioner wishes to be emancipated so that she can obtain medical treatment
without her Mother's oversight or input.
15. Mother has consistently, for many years, failed to care for or protect the rights of
Petitioner.
16. Petitioner was assisted by Mark A. Mateya, Esquire of Mateya Law Firm in the
drafting of this document.
16. Petitioner understands the gravity of emancipation and wishes to be emancipated.
WHEREFORE, Petitioner requests this Honorable Court grant a hearing to rule on
Petitioner's request.

Children and Youth, can file and have granted a "Petition for Emancipation."
