I reviewed the decedent's Will and have a different calculation to suggest. It is as follows: Article Second of the decedent's Will devises the real estate to his spouse and his daughter "...in equal parts..." and upon the death of both of the life tenants the real estate passes to his granddaughter in fee simple. Each life tenant has a % equal interest in the real estate but it does not pass to the granddaughter till both of the life tenants die_ The calculation is based on the fact that each life tenant has a primary life interest in their is interest and a secondary interest in the other life tenant's interest.
