PETITION FOR THE APPOINTMENT OF EMERGENCY GUARDIAN OF THE PERSON AND THE
ESTATE OF WALTRAUD G. WYLIE IN ACCORDANCE WITH 20 PA. CONS. STAT. §5513
EMERGENCY ORDER
AND NOW, this .~.gtti day of q ~~' 2009, upon consideration of the
Petition of Holy Spirit Hospital and after hearing held as directed by the Court, this Court finds that Waltraud
G. Wylie currently lacks sufficient mental capacity to make or communicate responsible decisions
concerning her person, and an emergency guardian is needed to protect her so proper medical treatment
can be provided to him.
It is therefore ORDERED AND DECREED that Brian Brooks d/b/a the Pennsylvania Guardianship
Association is appointed emergency guardian of the person and the estate of Waltraud G. Wylie until such
time as a full hearing can be held on the permanent petition for guardianship filed with this Court. Brian
Brooks may consent to the admission of Waltraud G. Wylie to Hospice or any other such appropriate
medical or living facility for her care, treatment and protection, as well as to consent to any medical
diagnostic testing or medical treatment including surgical procedures and the administration of
pharmaceuticals as recommended by her treating physicians and to take whatever other steps are
necessary to protect her person and her estate until further Order of this Court. Brian Brooks shall be entitled
to a reasonable fee for his services.
