REPLY TO CAMP HILL
You will find enclosed a copy of the First and Final Account of the administration of the
Wilbur H. Mathias Estate. I believe you will find that the Account clearly sets forth all receipts,
disbursements and significant transactions of the Estate. Please feel free to contact me, however,
should you have any questions.
The proposed distributions are set forth at page 7, where you will find your own share
stated as either a 1/9 or 1/18 portion of the net distributable estate. You may notice that the
shares of the two churches (1/9 each) are larger, which is because their shares must be calculated
before the inheritance tax is deducted (as charities, they do not pay any share of the tax).
At page 6, you will find my fees stated, as well as the executor's commission claimed by
Dr. Compton. My fees were calculated on an hourly basis, and Dr. Compton claims a 5%
commission (the similarity between the two figures is merely coincidental).
Please note that a reserve of $1,000 is proposed to be retained fo1• additional attorney
which may be incurred in wrapping up the estate. Any portion not required for fees will be
distributed pro rata after the Account has been confirmed
If you have any objections to the Account or proposed schedule of distribution, you must
make that know before 9:30 a.m. June 16, when the Court will otherwise confirm the Account,
absolutely. Objections may be filed at the Office of the Re;;ister of Wills, Rm. 102, One
Courthouse Square, Carlisle, PA 17013. Before filing an objection, I would suggest that you
make any concerns known to me, so that I may attempt to address them.
If there are Ito objections to the Account and proposed distribution, we will pay out the
amounts shown on page 7 of the Account, shortly after the confirmation date of June 16, 2009.
ThaI11c you for your patience.
Very truly yours,
SAIDIS, PLOWER & LINDSAY
