At the time of her death Ms. Jumper had a bank account on which David A. Metzger
was a joint owner.
When the information notice was sent out he signed and returned the form without
marking item B, that the asset would be reported on the inheritance tax return. Ms.
Jumper's will contains a tax clause.
Mr. Metzger began receiving collection notice so on January 26, .2009 we sent estate
check no. 131 in the amaunt of $4, 000 as payment on account but did rout styulate trat
that payment should be applied to this asset and the remainder on account.
The collection agency called and said that in order for them to cease their collection
efforts I needed to confirm by letter the intent of the payment.
