PETITION TO AMEN_ TT F~RS OF ADMINISTRATION r~'.~ ~ .. ~ `
AND NOW COMES, Janie S. Gettel, formerly known as Janie S. Hornung, by her
attorneys, Pecht & Associates, PC, and makes the following Petition to Amend Letters of
Administration, and in support thereof states as follows:
1. Petitioner is Janie S. Gettel, an adult individual.
2. On June 29, 2009, the Cumberland County Register of Wills granted Letters of
Administration to Petitioner, whose name was then Janie S. Hornung, for the administration of
the Estate of Ronald G. Gettel, deceased.
3. Petitioner is currently involved in a divorce action in Dauphin County filed to No.
CV 5986 of 2009.
4. As part of that action, Petitioner changed her name to Janie S. Gettel, by filing a
request with the Dauphin County Prothonotary's Office. A copy of the request and resulting
action is attached hereto as Exhibit A and incorporated herein by this reference thereto.
5. Accordingly, Petitioner's legal name is now Janie S. Gettel.
6. Because the Letters of Administration granted to Petitioner in the above-captioned
Estate depict Petitioner's name as Janie S. Hornung, some confusion has resulted in the
administration of the Estate in dealing with third parties who require short certificates.
7. Petitioner believes that the administration of the Estate will be more efficient if
the Register of Wills amends the Letters previously granted to Petitioner to reflect her name
change.
WHEREFORE, Petitioner respectfully requests the Register of Wills to grant Amended
betters of Administration to Petitioner in her new legal name, Janie S. Gettel.
