Spare, Esquire, of the law firm of Stock and Leader, does hereby make application to this Court for the appointment of School Police Officers for the Big Spring School District under the provisions of the Public School Code of 1949, as amended, Section 778 (24 P.S. 7-778), and represents as follows: 1. That the Big Spring School District is a duly organized and constituted school district located in Cumberland County, Pennsylvania. 2. That said Big Spring School District is desirous of and in need of School Police Officers. 3. The Board of School Directors requests that the persons listed in Paragraph 3 above be granted the powers, duties and responsibilities to act as school police officers for the Big Spring School District with the authority to enforce good order in school buildings, on school buses and on school grounds in accordance with the Public School Code of 1949, as amended. 5. The Board of School Directors requests that the members of the Newville Borough Police Department listed below be appointed as school police officers with the power to exercise the same powers as are now or may be hereafter exercised under the authority of law or ordinance by the police in the municipality wherein the School District property is located. Spare, Esquire, Attorney for the Big Spring School District, the request of the foregoing application is granted and the persons listed below are hereby appointed School Police Officers for the Big Spring School District for the year ending June 30, 2008, pursuant to the Public School Code of 1949, as amended, Section 778 (24 P.S. 7-778) upon compliance with the other requirements of the aforesaid Act.
