MUNICIPAL LIEN
1. Claimant is the Township of Shippensburg, Cumberland County,
Pennsylvania, with its principal office located at 81 Walnut Bottom Road, P.O. Box 219,
Shippensburg, Cumberland County, Pennsylvania, 17257.
2. Jee S. Kim and Kyung H. Kim are the owners of the property against
which this Municipal Lien is filed and whose last known address is 39 Richard Avenue,
Shippensburg, Cumberland County, Pennsylvania, 17257.
3. The property against which this Municipal Lien is filed is all that tract of
land with improvements thereon situated in the Township of Shippensburg, County of
Cumberland, Commonwealth of Pennsylvania being known and numbered as 39
Richard Avenue, Shippensburg, Pennsylvania 17257.
4. The authority under which this Lien is filed is the Municipal Claims Act of
1923, P.L. 207, as amended (53 P.S. §7101, et seq).
5. This Municipal Lien is filed to secure an interest for removal of dangerous
buildings and property clean up after the failure of the Defendants to maintain their
property in accordance with Township Ordinance No. 91-2.
6. Statement of Claim: See attached Exhibit-"A" reflecting details supporting
total due.
7. The removal charges were duly paid by, and the clean up charges were
duly established, levied and assessed by the Township of Shippensburg, County of
Cumberland, Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, being the lawful authority for doing so
under certain Ordinance of the Township and pursuant to the Second Class Township
Code of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania which govern such matters in which costs
were levied, established and assessed for the purpose for providing for the health,
safety and welfare of the citizens of the Township of Shippensburg.
8 On July 12, 2009, the Plaintiff received a partial payment from the
Defendant in the amount of $200.00 (see Exhibit "B" attached hereto), which payment
reduces the balance due and the amount of this lien to $383.91 as requested herein.
WHEREFORE for all the above reasons, the Township of Shippensburg hereby
does place a lien against the said property in the amount of $383.91

NOTICE
Your property has been posted and you have been sent letters in the past asking you to
clean up your property at 39 Richard Avenue for being in violation of Shippensburg Township
Ordinance No. 91-2. I called you and informed you that if this was not taken care of the
Township would take care of this situation.
As of June 9, 2009 the problem had not been resolved. The Township had to take it u on
itself to remedy the situation.
The cost thereof falls back on the property owner.
