Jones, by and through her Attorney, Jane Adams, Esquire, and files the following Petition for Emancipation: 1. Petitioner is Jessica K. Jones, (hereinafter referred to as "Petitioner"); she currently lives at 114 Lesher Road, Newburg, Pa. 17240. 1992. 2. Petitioner is seventeen (17) years old. Her date of birth is February 19, 3. Petitioner currently is a Senior at Shippensburg Senior High School. Her approximate grade point average is 3.8. 4. From 2005 until August 2009, Petitioner lived with her Father, Ralph Jones, in his long-time partner's home. Father's partner is Sandra Miller, and she lives at 173 Jumper Road, Newburg, Pa. 17240. 5. In August 2009, Father and his girlfriend split up, and Father moved to Harbor City, California. His current address is 23505 President Avenue, Harbor City, California. 6. On or about October 13, 2009, Petitioner moved in with her friend, Susan Dietrich, who lives at 114 Lesher Road, Newburg, Pa. 17240. 7. Petitioner currently works on the dairy farm, which is located at 114 Lesher Road, Newburg, Pa., several days per week after school from approximately 4 p.m. To 8 p.m. 8. Petitioner's Mother is Karen Hensgen. Petitioner has not had contact with her Mother in approximately five years, and does not know of her current whereabouts. 9. Petitioner was removed from Mother's home in Santa Barbara County, California, by Children and Youth Services due to physical abuse. Children and Youth directed that Mother have no visitation with Petitioner. Petitioner has not, and does not want to, have contact with Mother. e 10. Petitioner is requesting to be emancipated because: (a) Petitioner has a job and is doing extremely well in school. She lives with neither parent and is basically self-sufficient. (b) Petitioner is applying for admission to Dickinson College, Swarthmore College, and Shippensburg University. (c)Petitioner is currently in the process of applying for financial aid. Her biological Father has not filed taxes in ten years, and she has had no contact with her Mother in five years. (d) Petitioner has no way of obtaining the financial information necessary for the financial aid forms from her parents, and cannot apply for financial aid on her own unless she is emancipated. (e) Unless she is emancipated, Petitioner most likely will not be able to obtain financial aid for college. WHEREFORE, Petitioner requests this Honorable Court schedule a hearing on this matter and following the hearing emancipate Petitioner. Date: Respectfully sub ne Adams, Esquire D.
