For dates of death on or after July 1, 1994 and before January 1, 1995, the tax rate imposed on the net value of transfers to or for the use of the
surviving spouse is 3% [72 P.S. 9116 (a) (1.1) (;)].
For dates of death on or after January 1, 1995, the tax rate imposed on the net '\Ialue of transfers to or lor the use 01 the surviving spouse is 0%
[72 P.S. 9116 (a) (1.1) (H)]. The statute does not exempt a transfer to a surviving spouse from tax, and the statutory requirements for disclosure of assets
and filing a tax return are still applicable even if the surviving spouse is the only beneficiary.
For dates of death on or after July 1, 2000:
The tax rate imposed on the net value of transfers from a deceased child twenty-one years of age or younger at death to or for the use of a natural
parent, an adoptive parent, or a stepparent of the child is 0% [72 P.S. 9116 (a) (1.2)].
The tax rate imposed on the net value of transfers to or for the use of the decedent's lineal beneficiaries is 4.5%, except as noted in 72 P.S. 9116(1.2)
[72 P.S. 9116(a)(1)].
The tax rate imposed on the net value of transfers to or for the use of the decedent's siblings is 12% [72 P.S. 9116(a)(1.3)]. A sibling is defined, under
Section 9102, as an individual who has at least one parent in common with the decedent, whether by blood or adoption.

I, LY~E E. RYDER of Shippensburg, Cumberland County,
Pennsjlvania, being of sound and disposing mind, memory and
under~3tanding, do hereby make, publish and declare this as and for
my Last Will and Testament, hereby revoking all other wills and
codic:ls hetetofote made by me.
FIRST
I direct the payment of my debts and the expenses of my
last illness and funeral from my estate as soon after my death as
convenip-ntly may be done. If there be no cemetery lot available
for my interment, owned by me at the time of my death, I
authori~ed my personal representative to purchase such cemetery
lot with a contract for perpetual care, using therefor funds from
my estate, in such amount as he shall consider necessary and
desir~ble, and I authorize my personal representative to cause
title to or ownership of such lot so purchased to be vested in
such person as my personal representative shall designate.
Further, in this connection, I authorize my personal
respt~sentative to expend funds from my estate, in such amount as
my pe~sonal representative shall consider necessary and desirable
for the purchase, erection and inscription of a suitable marker
for my grave.
SECOND
I give, devise and bequeath all my estate of whatever
nature ~nd wherever situate, together with all insurance policies
theron, to my wife, FAY K. RYDER, provided she shall survive me by
thirty (33) days.
THIRO
In the event I am not so survived by my wife, FAY'-. K.
RYDER, I give, devise and bequeath all my estate, of whatever
naturf'~ and wherever situate, to my grandson, DAVID RYDER, JR. of
R.D. ;~5, Box 1680, Shippensburg, PA.
FOURTH
In addition to the powers conferred by law, I authorize
my Executor, in his absolute discretion:
1. To retain in the form received, and to sell either
at public or private sale any real or personal property;
2. To manage real estate;
3. To invest and reinvest in all forms of property
without being confined to legal investments, and without regard to
the pt~ncipal of diversification;
4. To compromise claims without court approval, and
without the consent of any beneficiary.
FIFTH
I nominate, constitute and appoint my grandson, DAVID
RYDE.~{, JR., Executor of this my Last Will and Testament. In the
even~ he has not reached the age of eighteen or said Executor
shall fail to so serve for any reason, I hereby appoint my son,
DAVID RYDER, SR., Executor of this my Last Will and Testament. I
dirE~t that my said executors not be required to post bond or
other security which may be required by the Commonwealth of
Pennsylvania or otherwise.

LYLE E. RYDER
I, LYLE E. RYDER of Shippensburg, Cumberland County,
Pennsylvania, being of sound and disposing mind, memory and
understanding, do hereby make, publish and declare this as and for
my Last Will and Testament, hereby revoking all other wills and
codicils heretofore made by me.
FIRST
I direct the payment of my debts and the expenses of my
last illness and funeral from my estate as soon after my death as
conveniently may be done.
If there be no cemetery lot available
for my interment, owned by me at the time of my death, I
authorized my personal representative to purchase such cemetery
lot with a contract for perpetual care, using therefor funds from
my estate, in such amount as he shall consider necessary and
desirable, and I authorize my personal representative to cause
title to or ownership of such lot so purchased to be vested in
such person as my personal representative shall designate.
Further, in this connection, I authorize my personal
respresentative to expend funds from my estate, in such amount as
my personal representative shall consider necessary and desirable
for the purchase, erection and inscription of a suitable marker
for my grave.
SECOND
I give, devise and bequeath all my estate of whatever
nature and wherever situate, together with all insurance policies
theron, to my wife, FAY K. RYDER, provided she shall survive me by
thirty (30) days.
THIRD
In the event I am not so survived by my wife, FAY K.
RYDER, I give, devise and bequeath all my estate, of whatever
nature and wherever situate, to my grandson, DAVID RYDER, JR. of
R.D. #5, Box 1680, Shippensburg, PA.
FOURTH
In addition to the powers conferred by law, I authorize
my Executor, in his absolute discretion:
1. To retain in the form received, and to sell either
at public or private sale any real or personal property;
2. To manage real estate;
3. To invest and reinvest in all forms of property
without being confined to legal investments, and without regard to
the principal of diversification;
4. To compromise claims without court approval, and
without the consent of any beneficiary.
FIFTH
I nominate, constitute and appoint my grandson, DAVID
RYDER, JR., Executor of this my Last Will and Testament.
In the
event he has not reached the age of eighteen or said Executor
shall fail to so serve for any reason, I hereby appoint my son,
DAVID RYDER, SR., Executor of this my Last Will and Testament. I
direct that my said executors not be required to post bond or
other security which may be required by the Commonwealth of
Pennsylvania or otherwise.

DISCOUNT:
If any tax due is paid within three (3) calendar months after the decedent's death~ a five percent (5%) discount of
the tax paid is allowed.
PENAL TV:
Tha 1SX tax amnesty non-participation penalty is computed on the total of the tax and interest assessed~ and not
paid before January 18~ 1996, the first day after the end of the tax amnesty period. This non-participation
penalty is appealable in the same manner and in the the same time periOd as you would appeal the tax and interest
that has been assessed as indicated on this notice.
INTEREST:
Interest is charged beginning with first day of delinquency~ or nine (9) months and one (1) day from the date of
death~ to the date of payment. Taxes which became delinquent before January l~ 1982 bear interest at the rate of
six (6%) percent per annum calculated at a daily rate of .000164. All taxes which became delinquent on and after
January l~ 1982 will bear interest at a rate which will vary from calendar year to calendar year with that rate
announced by the PA Department of Revenue. The applicable interest rates for 1982 through 2003 are:

FAMILY SETTLEMENT AND FINAL RELEASE IN THE
ESTATE OF LYLE E. RYDER, DECEASED
THIS AGREEMENT, is executed as of this ~ day of ~
2003, by and between, DAVID RYDER, JR., hereby designated as xecutor,
hereinafter referred to as "Personal Representative", of the Estate of Lyle E. Ryder,
hereinafter referred to as "Decedent", and David Ryder, Jr., hereinafter referred to as
"Beneficiary" .
WITNESSETH:
WHEREAS, Decedent died testate on June 14,2002, leaving a Last Will and
Testament dated June 24,1985, wherein Decedent named Personal Representative
as Executor, which Will was duly probated in Cumberland County, Pennsylvania and
now remains of record in Cumberland County Will Book and Letters Testamentary
thereon were granted to Personal Representative on July 18, 2002, and
WHEREAS, under the Will of Decedent and of which Will the Beneficiary has
received a copy, David Ryder, Jr., were named as residuary Beneficiary, and
WHEREAS, The Personal Representative has proceeded with the
administration of the Estate, paid all debts of the Decedent and claims against the
Estate, administration expenses, taxes and now know of no other unpaid claim to be
paid out of Estate assets, and
WHEREAS, the Personal Representative has prepared an Account and
Schedule of Distribution in accordance with the intention of Decedent's Will, which
has been submitted to the Beneficiary for his review, a true and correct copy whereof
is intended to be attached to the original document executed by the Beneficiary.
NOW, THEREFORE, intending to be legally bound hereby, the Beneficiary
mutually agree as follows:
1. SATISFACTION WITH ACCOUNT: Each party agrees or acknowledges that
he or she has fully and carefully examined the Account of the Personal
Representative and the Schedule of Distribution relating thereto and find them
to be acceptable.
2.
RELEASE: The Beneficiary does hereby remise, release and quitclaim and
forever discharge the said Personal Representative, and his heirs, executors,
administrators, and assigns, of and from all actions, suits, payments,
accounts, reckonings, claims and demands whatsoever for or by reason
thereof, or for any other use, matter, cause or thing whatsoever touching upon
the Estate of the Decedent, and all duties of the Personal Representative of

the Estate, except for disposition of any funds reserved in the Account or for
matters specially mentioned.
3. REIMBURSEMENT OF FUTURE CLAIMS AGAINST ESTATE: Beneficiary
promises he will reimburse or contribute to the Personal Representative or the
Estate, as the case may be, his prorata share of any expense incurred or
payment to be made with respect to a debt of Decedent, a tax, including
penalty or interest, or other claim which may hereafter be determined to be a
legally valid and timely claim against the Estate, which but for the distribution
of assets contemplated hereby would be payable out of the Estate assets. In
the reasonable discretion of the Personal Representative it may be determined
that any such claim should be compromised and Beneficiary agrees to be
bound by the exercise of such discretion.
4. PAYMENT OF SHARES: Beneficiary hereby acknowledges that after a
release is signed by gJJ necessary parties, the Personal Representative will
forthwith deliver checks to each party in the amounts set forth opposite the
respective names in the Schedule of Distribution.
5. WAIVER: This instrument is a full and final Family Settlement Agreement by
and among the parties hereto, both fiduciary and individual, all of the same
having been arrived at, concluded and executed after a full and complete
disclosure of the said Estate and the rights of the parties therein and thereto
and all of the parties hereto, and each of them agrees to abide by the terms
hereof. The parties hereto waive any filing of an Account and Schedule of
Distribution with any Court.
6. FUTURE COOPERATION: The parties hereto, and each of them agree that
they will at all times in the future and whenever necessary, appropriate or
conveniently make, execute and deliver to the said Personal Representative,
or to any other party or persons, any and all instruments, documents,
conveyances, deeds, releases or other instruments of any kind necessary or
convenient to carry out the intention of this agreement and/or to permit, assist
and enable the Personal Representative to fulfill fiduciary duties with reference
to the said Estate and all assets thereof.
7.
ENTIRE AGREEMENT: This Agreement constitutes the entire understanding
between the parties hereto, and all acknowledge that no representations or
promises of any kind have been made by anyone other than as contained
herein or referenced hereto.

BINDING EFFECT: This Agreement shall inure to the benefit of and be
binding upon the parties hereto and each of them, their heirs, executors,
administrators, successors and assigns.
