BIKLE, ALSO KNOWN AS HARRY DWIGHT BIKLE PETITION FOR ADMISSION TO PROBATE OF LATER CODICIL PURSUANT TO 20 PA. C.S. § 3138 TO THE HONORABLE REGISTER OF WILLS: Petitioner, Bonnie L. Osman. respectfully represents that: 1. Petitioner, Bonnie L. Osman, resides at 181 Lost Hollow Road, Dillsburg (Franklin Township), York County, Pennsylvania 17019. 2. Harry D. Bickle (also known as Harry Dwight Bickle, and as H. Dwight Bickle) (Decedent) died on October 5, 2009. 3. Decedent's last principal residence was at 325 Wesley Drive, Mechanicsburg, (Lower Allen Township), Cumberland County, Pennsylvania 17055. 4. Decedent had a friendship of approximately twenty five (25) years duration with Petitioner and Petitioner's husband, Gerald B. Osman, and was a frequent visitor to their home. 5. On October 3, 2009, Petitioner's husband, Gerald B. Osman, at Decedent's direction, prepared a codicil to Decedent's Will, which codicil was then signed by Decedent, for the purpose of bequeathing a motor vehicle owned by Decedent. A copy of the codicil is attached hereto as Exhibit A. The original of the codicil is being submitted to the Register of Wills concomitant with the filing of this Petition, along with the Oath of Non-Subscribing Witnesses, an unexecuted copy of which is attached as Exhibit B. 6. Approximately one (1) week after Decedent's death, Gerald B. Osman delivered a copy of the above-described Codicil to Benjamin J. Butler, Esquire, who is attorney for Decedent's estate, and who advised Gerald B. Osman that any action with respect to the Codicil must be undertaken by Petitioner herself. 7. The Last Will and Testament of Decedent, dated September 20, 2002, together with Codicil to the Last will and Testament of Decedent, September 28, 2009, were admitted to probate by the Register of Wills of Cumberland County and Letters Testamentary thereon were issued to Sharon M. Heller and Kathleen A. Kuehl, as designated Executrices, on October 19, 2009. 8. Petitioner has given notice of the filing of this Petition to the following parties in interest and advised them that the Codicil may be admitted to probate within twenty (20) days of the filing of this Petition if no objection is filed prior to January 11, 2010: Stephen D. Kuehl, 134 East Street, Williamstown, PA 17098 Benjamin J. Butler, Esquire, 500 North Third Street, P.O. Box 19004, Harrisburg, PA, 18108-1004 A copies of the Notices are attached as Exhibit C. WHEREFORE, Petitioner respectfully requests that pursuant to 20 Pa. C.S. § 3138, the Decree of Probate and Grant of Letters Testamentary dated October 19, 2009, be opened to receive proof of the later writing dated October 3, 2009, as a second codicil to the Will dated September 20, 2002, of Harry D. Bikle, also known as Harry Dwight Bikle, also known as H. Dwight Bikle, deceased, and that the probate record be amended accordingly.
