Please find enclosed Estate Check No. 2016 in the amount of Eighty-Nine Thousand Four
Hundred Ten Dollars and Ninety-One Cents ($89,410.91) which represents the Estate
Inheritance Tax return payment to accompany FORM REV-1500. Please be advised that
this check is a re,~ sue of previously submitted Estate Check No. 2014 issued in the same
amount dated November 25, 2009 which was inadvertently/mistakenly returned by the
Register of Wills to the accounting firm of Smoker Smith & Associates. A copy of the
inadvertently returned Estate Check No. 2014 has been attached for your review.
I was subsequently advised in 2010 by Smoker Smith & Associates to re-issue a new
Estate Check in the same amount which would be retroactive to original November 25
2009 payment and filing. I was advised by Smoker Smith that the Register of Wills
recognizes and acknowledges timely receipt of original Estate Check No. 2014 which
accompanied the original filing of FORM REV 1500 in November 2009. As a result, the
Department of Revenue will require that any payment receipt issued must be retroactive
to the original November 25, 2009 filing.
