COMPLAINT
1. The Plaintiff, Vickie Anderson, is an adult individual residing at 50 Kline
VICKIE ANDERSON,

GOLDEN LIVING CENTER,
Defendant
Avenue, Manchester, Pennsylvania 17345.
2. The Defendant is a business entity licensed to do business in Pennsylvania that
owns and/or operates a nursing home facility located at 770 Poplar Church Road, Camp Hill,
Pennsylvania 17011.
3. At all times relevant hereto, the Defendant acted through its agents, servants,
id/or employees.
4. On September 8, 2008, at approximately 1:30 p.m., the Plaintiff was a visitor at
he Defendant's facility located on Poplar Church Road in Camp Hill, Pennsylvania.
5. At that same time and place, the Plaintiff was walking down a corridor when an
employee of the Defendant turned a corner and ran into the Plaintiff knocking her to the floor
resulting in injuries and damages to the Plaintiff.
6. This accident occurred solely as a result of the negligence of the agents, servants,
and/or employees of the Defendant and was due in no manner to any act or failure to act on the
part of the Plaintiffs.
7. The negligence of the Defendant's employee consisted of the following:
a. Failing to utilize that degree of care required for visitors by not exercising
reasonable care while traversing the corridors;
b. Failing to observe the presence of the Plaintiff when Defendant's
employee knew or should have known of the presence of the Plaintiff;
C. Failing to warn the Plaintiff of the activities of Defendant's employee;
d. Failing to carry on the Defendant's activities with reasonable care for the
safety of the Plaintiff, and
e. Knocking the Plaintiff to the ground.
8. At all times relevant hereto, Defendant's employee was acting in the course and
scope of employment with the Defendant, under the control of the Defendant, and in furtherance
)f the business affairs of the Defendant.
9. The Defendant is vicariously liable for the negligence of its employee.
10. This matter is alleged to exceed the applicable limits of arbitration, and a jury trial
lis hereby demanded.
11. As a result of the negligence of the Defendant, the Plaintiff suffered serious and

w F rF J (permanent injuries including but not limited to cervical and lumbar sprain/strain, left hip pain,
9B1rl, A. h' ANN T2A4" , right shoulder injury, and a severe shock to her nerves and nervous system.
12. As a result of the negligence of the Defendant's employee, the Plaintiff was forced
to incur medical bills and expenses for the injuries she has suffered, and she will continue to
incur medical expenses in the future.
13. As a result of the negligence of the Defendant, the Plaintiff has undergone, and in
the future may undergo, scarring and disfigurement, great mental and physical pain and suffering,
anguish and humiliation, loss of life's pleasures, and a severe limitation in her pursuit of
(daily activities, all to her great loss and detriment.
WHEREFORE, Plaintiff respectfully requests this Honorable Court to enter judgment
against the Defendant in an amount in excess of the mandatory arbitration limits.
