The statute does not exempt a transfer to a surviving spouse from tax, and the statutory requirements for disclosure of assets and filing a tax return are still applicable even if the surviving spouse is the only beneficiary. Sale. To sell real or personal property at public or private sale upon such terms (including terms of credit) and conditions as may be proper under the circumstances. 4. Borrowing. E. Guardian of Estate of Minor. I appoint the surviving parent of any such minor Guardian of any property which passes to a minor as a result of my death (including but not limited to the proceeds of insurance upon my life) and with respect to which I am authorized by law to appoint a Guardian and have not otherwise specifically done so.
