Dear Judge Oler:
I write to you in my capacity as Solicitor for the Borough of Camp Hill. I have just received
a copy of your Order dated August 17, 2010, scheduling a hearing on the Joint Petition of the
Borough of Camp Hill and Cathy L. Sowers to Quitclaim Donated or Dedicated Property for
September 9, 2010, at 2:30 p.m. in Courtroom No. 1.
Section 3385 of the Donated or Dedicated Property Act, 53'P:S. °§ 3385, requires the Borough
to provide notice to the public of the proposed date of the hearing by publication one time per week
for three successive weeks in the Cumberland Law Journal and a newspaper of general circulation.
Consequently, the scheduled hearing date does not afford me sufficient time, to provide the required
legal notice.
I respectfully request that Your Honor reschedule the hearing to a date at least 30 days from
the date of your Order to afford sufficient time for the legal advertisement. Thank you for your
consideration of this request.
