Martin W. A. Tra~ctle Executor, Estate of Sophia Graziosi 116 Harrisburg Pike Dillsburg, PA 17x19 Phone: 717-502-0949 December 17, 2010 Riverside United Methodist Church 3200 North Third Street Harrisburg, PA 17110-1307 Dear Riverside Members, As Executor of the Estate of the late Sophia Grsiziosi, I am charged with notifying persons or entities named as benefiaaries in her Last Will and Testament of her wishes. The fact is, Rives erside United Methodist Church is the only named beneficiary of her Estate in her Last Will and Testament ex rn Z We do not yet know how much will be left when Sophie's last medical and burial costs are al! tabulated and paid. It may be less than $100 or could be several hundr~;cl dollars. The important thing is for the folks at Riverside to know how much Sophie loved that Church. You may remember that with a monthly income of only $1,200, she gave $100 every week for many years. We are grateful that at least one family in the congregation continued to care about Sophie. The Wicker family helped Connie when she was working to empty Sophie's house and get it ready for sale. The family also represented Rivet~ide at Sophie's memorial service. During the last six years before her death on August 7, 2010, Sophie was resident at Ecumenical Community assisted living facility for 41/2 years and at Sarah Todd Memorial Wome for 1 1/2 years. At both places, Sophie was so pleasarrt and always grateful for any- thing anyone did for her; so, she was much loved by all the staff. At Sarah Todd she daily sat in the hall outside her room and joyfully gnreted all who passed by. She was so much loved, that the last 3 days of her life, when she was in asemi-comatose state, dozens of the staff, including kitchen and maintenance personnel, came to her room to say good-by. And, even though she had been gone from Ecumenical Community for 1 1/2 years, after her death, the staff asked the Chaplain to have a special memorial service there so that staff and other residents could attend. We have been fortunate -first in dealing with Sophie's needs as her Power of Attorney and now as Executor of her Estate - that in our seeking legal assistance, a local attorney, after teaming that we have not chosen to n~ceive any remuneration for costs of any of our services on Sophie's behalf, offered to serve pro bono in advising us. That is the reason that there will be a little money left to fulfill Sophie's wish to benefit Riverside Church. The problems created by her extended family, after they teamed she was making Riverside her only benefictiary, made life difficul# for us at times ... and caused Riverside (Jeanette} some extra work when they demanded several audits of Sophie's contributions over the years. Other than that, it has been our blessing to have been able to meet some of Sophie's needs. It may be several months before we will know the amount and are dear to issue a check to Riverside Church. Blessings to all, Martin W. A. Trostle, Executor, Estate of Sophia Graziosi ~ Page 1 of 1 _ _ _ _.. Subject: Sophie's Estafie From: marcontro a~'~,-aol.com 'Date Friday, December 17, 2010 10:49 PM To: jchetgren(d,~nssh.com Hello, Jeannette, Hope all is well with you. Tomorrow (Saturday) we will be mailing to Riverside a letter re Sophie's Estate. As her Executor, Many is required do notify bI- letter any/a!1 bert~iciarles of her Last 1iY111 and Testament Fact is, Riverside is her only beneficiary. We do not yet know exactly how much will be !eft after medical and funeral expenses are all paid. We had prepaid her Funeral expenses, but the Cemetery (which was also prepaid) has said there are some other costs which were not covered. And, we have reoenfiy received some medical bills for last Feb. and Mar. The Sarah Todd accountant says we should not have been billed for any medical services for Sophie because she was on Medicaid. Until this is deared up, we cannot dose the Estate. This should reach the Church in Monday or Tuesday mail. We chose not to require a signature for receipt of this mail, since it would require someone to be there to sign for ii~ ilUitt, you, however, please confine when it is received by an e-mail response. Best wishes to you for this holiday season. Connie Friday, I~cember 17, 2010 America Online:
