On November 6, 2007 Judge M. L. Ebert appointed the Cumberland Coumtyj ice of
Aging the emergency temporary Guardian of the Person and Estate of L' Schell.
She is also known as Rosemary .Schell, Rosemary Sanchez, and Liesek~e hubb.
Following the hearing, Ms. Schell was transported from the Carlisle Regia~n I Center to
the Shippensburg Health Care Center where she was admitted. On Deem, r 5, 2007,
the Cumberland County Office of Aging was appointed Permanent Guardiarh bf the
Person and Estate.
At that time of the emergency guardianship, Ms. Schell had a checking a nt at
Orrstown Bank with a balance of $3071.17. When she ores in the hospitajl, ff found
$1490 on her person which they transferred with her when she was admit to the
nursing home. This money was tamed over to the Office of Aging and we dle~osited
this money into her account.
Beginning in January 2008, the Office of Aging opened a guardianship at~cq'u' t at
Orrstown for Rosemary. We requested her social security check be depo#it into this
new account. When that started the funds from her personal account were nsferred
over to the new account and the oki akxount was closed.
The balance at the date of the previous annual report was $5416.34 Her ~ thly
income included $873 Social Security and $90 from the Veterans Admini t~ion. The
monthly expenses included $728 to Shippensburg Health Care Center for' r and
board and $100 to Cumberland County Aging and Community Services for
Guardianship Fee as approved by the court. The funeral had been pre-aura ed so
there were no additional expenses. The balance in the akxount at the time rf ....her death
was $5729.14.

Notfications of her death were made to the Social Security Office, the Vet~r~ns
Administration and the County Assistance Office.
Attached is the financial summary of Rosemary Schall's income and expenses. Also
attached is a spread sheet representing the checking account register.
