She was later diagnosed with gastroesophageal n~Flux disease, respiratory failure and allergic rhinisitis..I~l$. Schall adjusted fairly well to being in a nursing home About five months after her admission, she was placed on palliative care ~ use of her advanced heart disease. This also made her el~ible for hospice services. a hospice aides provided companionship, hands on care, provide emotional support. hospice chaplain also made visits to her. Hospice would give case manager update$ pn her physical health. Hospice discharged her in November because was doing wfelll and not experiencing any decline. L. Ebert appointed the Cumberland Coun Office of A i the eme n temporary Guardian of the Person and Estate of Lie~lotte Schall. g n9 ~ cY She is also known as Rosemary Schall, Rosemary Sanchez, and Leese Chubb. Following the hearing, Ms. Schall was transported from the Carlisle Regipn Center to the Shippensburg Health Care Center where she was admitted. On Det~krn r 5, 2007, the Cumberland County Office of Aging was appointed Permanent Guardia~n!of the Person and Estate During the year of 2010 there were some major changes in Ms. Shauli's he h. In February she fell out of a geri~hair at the Nursing Home and was taken to hospital for x-rays. It was found that she had a distal femur fracture of the right leg, ~ Token nose and a laceration on hec forehead about 1.5 inches long which was sut reed. She recovered from these injuries slowly and she was still on an immobilizer an .they were still giving her pain medication for several months. Despite that she was albl Ito attend some activities by the end of the month. She especially liked any activity ~ ~inciude( animals. One day one of the employees brought in several of her pets and ~isemary petted them all, even the snake. ~, G 7 -01~T Rosemary also struck up a friendship with a male resident. They often justlsat together in the activity room or the hall and held hands. Rosemary seemed to be very! content with this. Unfortunately, this friend died in October and this affected Ros~rrjialry very much. The staff tried to meet her emotional needs by providing reassurance end holding her hand. Rosemary was last seen by Aging staff on November 2, 2010. Her appea njce and mood were good. She enjoyed the Halloween activities the nursing home h ,provided. We were informed by the nursing home on November 14, 2010 that she ~a Ipassed away. There had been a general decline but nothing out of the ordinary. As was previously arranged, Hollinger Funeral Home handled the arrangerr~~nts including cremation. They transported her ashes to her daughter. ', Following her death Cumberland County Aging made the required notific~ti~rhs to Social Security, the Veterans administration and the Assistance Office.
