counsel, John M. Kerr, Esquire, pursuant to Rule 14.2 of the Orphans' Court Rules, and
represents as follows:
1. Petitioner, Bonita L. McGuire (hereinafter, "McGuire"), is an adult individual residing at
117 N. 17th Streets Camp Hill, Pennsylvania 17011.
2. The subject of this Guardianship Petition is Briana Skye Loper (hereinafter, "the Child" or
"Briana"), whose date of birth is August 19, 1995.
3. The Mother of the child is Eliana Franchesca Lopez (hereinafter, "Mother"), an adult
individual who is homeless but residing in the area, and who does not want the responsibility of
caring for the Child.
4. The Father of the Child is William Charles Loper II (hereinafter, "Father"), an adult
individual residing at 5852 S.Orleans Way, Centennial, Colorado 80015.
5. The Child is in the ninth grade at the Camp Hill School District. She has been the
recipient of some counseling.
6. Although the Child lived with her Father in Colorado for a period of time, he returned
her to the child's Mother and is unable or unwilling to care for her.
7. The Child does have a paternal grandmother, Linda Anthony, who lives in Pottsville,

Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania. Apparently, this is not an option in terms of someone who is
available to care for the Child.
8. The proposed guardian is Bonita L. McGuire, whose residence is at 117 N. 17`h Street,
Camp Hill, Pennsylvania 17011.
9. McGuire met Brianna through her daughter, Blair Louise McGuire, a seventeen year otd
who also attends the Camp Hill School District. Blair met Brianna through a mutual
acquaintance.
10. Originally, the Mother of the Child left her with another family. Presumably, that did
not work satisfactorily and, for the past eight (8) months, she has lived with the Petitioner and
her family.
11. Petitioner is a Certified Nursing Assistant; loves children; and does not wish to see the
Child neglected.
12. Petitioner would encourage liberal visitation between the Child and her natural Mother.
13. The proposed guardian has no interest adverse to the minor Child.
14. The Mother of the Child does not oppose this Petition.
15. No other court has ever assumed jurisdiction in any proceeding regarding a
guardianship of the Child.
16. There is no guardian already appointed on behalf of the minor.
WHEREFORE, it is requested that the Court grant a citation, directed to the Minor Child,
with notice thereof to her next of kin and to such other persons as the Court may direct, to
show cause why a guardian of her person or estate should not be appointed.
Respectfully submitted,
Jo M. Kerr, Esquire
