I, EDITH JOHNSTON BEARD, of Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, do make,
publish, and declare this to be my Last Will and Testament, hereby revoking all' Wills and
codicils heretofore made by me.
ARTICLE I
I direct my Executrix, hereinafter named, to pay all of my debts and expenses of
my last illness, funeral and burial, including but not restricted to administra~io~h expenses
and any reasonable expense for the cost of the purchase, erection, and appropriate
engraving of a suitable headstone or marker at my grave, in such amount a~ she may
deem proper and without the aid or order of any court, as soon after my dealth I as may be
practicable. All inheritance, estate, and other succession taxes arising as a'' cdnsequence
of my death, whether assessed with respect to property passing under ' this Will or
otherwise, shall be paid by my Executrix out of the residuum of my estate, arld'nio portion
thereof shall be charged to any beneficiary.
ARTICLE II
My husband, Paul E. Beard," Jr., is deceased at the time of my execution mf this Will,
and we have two (2) children born of the marriage, Susan Beazd Evans acid '~~Bazbaza B.
Corrie.
ARTICLE III
The tangible personal property (except cash on hand or on deposit, which shall be
distributed as a part of the residuum of my estate pursuant to Article IV of tlhhi5 Will or as
otherwise set forth in this Will) which I own and all policies of insurance relating to such
property, shall be divided into as many equal shazes as there aze children of inilne living at
the date of my death and children of mine who have predeceased me leaving ~avvful issue
living at my death, and I give and bequeath, in fee simple and absolutely, one of such shares
to each of said then living children and one of such shares to the living la~lvfi~l issue,

Distribution of such property shall be made, insofar as feasible, in kind,i and their
joint receipt therefore, regardless of the minority of them, will constitute a I complete
acquittance of my Executrix therefore. I may leave a list, which I realize and intend shall
have no legal effect, indicating certain persons to whom certain items of prope~rty~ tnight be
given.
ARTICLE IV
All the rest, residue and remainder of my estate, whether real or
whatever nature and wheresoever situated, to which I may be legally or equitably
which I may die seized or possessed, or to which I may be entitled at the time''of

A. Where appropriate, the masculine as used in this Will shall include the'fe~inine and
neuter, the singular, the plural, and vice versa.
B. A receipt from a minor beneficiary or from any person to whom ~roperty is
delivered for him, for property delivered in kind or payment made to him shall'expnerate my
Executor. ~~
ARTICLE VI ~~~
I hereby nominate and appoint my daughters, Susan Beard Evans of Mac 'csburg,
Pennsylvania, and Barbara B. Corrie of Vienna, Virginia, to serve jointly as E~dec~uUrix of
this, my Last Will and Testament. In the event either predeceases me or shall ~eas~ to act as
Co-Executrix, then I nominate and appoint the survivor to serve as my Executrix pfthis, my
Last Will and Testament, in place and stead of them serving jointly. My Execu~tr~x, or either
of them, shall not be required to post a bond or other security. II!,
ARTICLE VII
My Executrix is authorized to exercise all powers granted fic

In furtherance and not in limitation of the foregoing I hereby give tq my said
Executrix full power and discretion in the management and control of my state, with the
right and power to sell all or any portion thereof which they may deem it ne essary or
advisable, in the exercise of their absolute discretion, for the payment of my d bits or the
advantageous settlement of my estate, or in the best interests of my estate, and/or t (sell such
of my securities or other property as they may deem unsuitable or undesirable, an 'to invest
the available net proceeds thereof; to pay such assessments levied upon secutiti s held by
them and to exercise such purchase rights and such options contained in any'th reof, and,
generally, to exercise, in respect to any securities held by them, all such right, ovvers and
privileges as may be lawfully exercised by any person owning similar securities n his own

I also give to my said Executrix the right and power to register and hol in and/or
endorse to the name of their nominee, but at their own risk, any securities or qth r property
at any time comprising a part of my estate or of the trust herein before crta d. I also
authorize and empower my Executrix to retain properties, whether real or pe~sc~rral, in the
form in which received, and to sell, lease for any period, convey or otherwise dish
or all of the same, or any interest therein, at such time or times, for such price br
upon such other terms and conditions as my personal representative shall, in tl~ei
deem proper; to make such investments as they, in their discretion, shall de~rr
hold and register stocks in the name of a nominee and deal with them without
fiduciary capacity; to vote stocks by either general or special proxy, to make d
kind; to borrow money and give away of my estate as security thereon, to h
matters, and otherwise to deal in and with my property in such manner an
extent that I could if acting personally.
