LORRAINE F. BOWES
I, LORRAINE F. BOWES, also known as Lorraine Bowes, Lorraine Sue Bowes,
and Sue Bowes, of Hampden Township, Cumberland County, Pennsylvania, declare
this to be my last will and revoke any will previously made by me.
ITEM I. I direct that all my just debts and funeral expenses, including
my gravemarker and all expenses of my last illness, and any and all taxes and
assessments imposed by any governmental body as a result of my death, whether
on property passing under this will or otherwise, shall be paid from my
residuary estate as soon as practicable after my death as a part of the
expense of the administration of my estate.
ITEM II. I give and bequeath all of my diamond rings to my friend and
neighbor, NANCY W. MCCARTNEY, of Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, provided she
survives my death by thirty (30) days. If Nancy W. McCartney does not survive
my death by thirty (30) days, this bequest to her shall lapse and pass instead
as a part of the bequest hereinafter made in Item V of my will.
ITEM III. I give and bequeath my set of sterling silver silverware to
my brother, JOHN A. SHAPPELL, of Rantoul, Illinois, provided he survives me by
thirty (30) days. If John A. Shappell does not survive my death by thirty
(30) days, this bequest to him shall lapse and pass instead as a part of the
bequest hereinafter made in Item V of my wil~.
ITEM IV. I give and bequeath my 1994 Ford Escort automobile to my son,
ROBERT E. BOWES, JR., of Point Pleasant Beach, New Jersey, provided he
survives me by thirty (30) days. If Robert E. Bowes, Jr., does not survive my
death by thirty (30) days, this bequest to him shall lapse and pass instead as
a part of the bequest hereinafter made in Item V of my will.
ITEM V. I give and bequeath all of the remainder of my household goods,
automobiles, jewelry, and all other articles of household and personal use,
equipment and ornament, together with all insurance thereon and relating
thereto, in equal shares, per capita and not per stirpes, to those of my two
children, PAMELA D. BOWES, of Sellersville, Pennsylvania, and ROBERT E. BOWES,
JR., who survive my death by thirty (30) days.
ITEM VI. I give and bequeath the sum of $3,000.00 to my friend, ELEANOR
DISCUILLO, of Camp Hill, Pennsylvania, provided she survives my death by
thirty (30) days. In the event Eleanor Discuillo fails to survive my death by
thirty (30) days, this bequest to her shall lapse and pass instead as a part
of the residue of my estate.

ITEM VII. I give and bequeath the sum'of $1,000.00 to my friend and
neighbor, MARGARET BUTLER, (also known to me as PEG BUTLER)of Mechanicsburg,
Pennsylvania, provided she survives my death by thirty (30) days. In the
event Margaret Butler fails to survive my death by thirty (30) days, this
bequest to her shall lapse and pass instead as a part of the residue of my
estate.

ITEM VIII. I give and bequeath the sum of $1,000.00 to my nephew,
EDWARD L. FAULK, JR., of Pottsville, Pennsylvania, provided he survives my
death by thirty (30) days. In the event Edward L. Faulk, Jr., fails to
survive my death by thirty (30) days, this bequest to him shall lapse and pass
instead as a part of the residue of my estate.

ITEM IX. I give and bequeath the sum of $5,000.00 to my brother, JOHN
A. SHAPPELL, provided he survives my death by thirty (30) days. In the event
John A. Shappell fails to survive my death by thirty (30) days, this bequest
to him shall lapse and pass instead as a part of the residue of my estate.

ITEM X. I give and bequeath the sum of $2,000.00 to my friends and
neighbors, WAYNE WALTERS and JOAN WALTERS, of Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, or
the survivor of them, provided they or one of them survives my death by thirty
(30) days. In the event neither Wayne Walters or Joan Walters survive my
death by thirty (30) days, this bequest to them shall lapse and pass instead
as a part of the residue of my estate.
ITEM XI. I give and bequeath the sum of $2,000.00 to NANCY W. MCCARTNEY
provided she survives my death by thirty (30) days. In the event Nancy W.
McCartney fails to survive my death by thirty (30) days, this bequest to her
shall lapse and pass instead as a part of the residue of my estate.

ITEM XII. I give and bequeath the sum of $1,000.00 to my friend and
neighbor, DAVID W. TREHARNE, of Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, provided he
survives my death by thirty (30) days. In the event David W. Treharne fails
to survive my death by thirty (30) days, this bequest to him shall lapse and
pass instead as a part of the residue of my estate.
ITEM XIII. I give and bequeath the sum of $500.00 to my friend and
neighbor, EVELYN KATONA, of Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, provided she survives
my death by thirty (30) days. In the event Evelyn Katona fails to survive my
death by thirty (30) days, this bequest to her shall lapse and pass instead as
a part of the residue of my estate.
ITEM XIV.

ITEM XV. I give and bequeath the sum of $1,000.00 to HOSPICE OF CENTRAL
PENNSYLVANIA, of Enola, Pennsylvania.
ITEM XVI. I give and bequeath the sum of $1,000.00 to DIAKON LUTHERAN
SOCIAL MINISTRIES to and for the use of the MECHANICSBURG AREA SENIOR ADULT
CENTER, 97 West Portland Street, Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania.
ITEM XVII. I give and bequeath the sum of $1,000.00 to my niece, PAMELA
K. SHAPPELL, of Rantoul, Illinois, provided she survives my death by thirty
(30) days. In the event Pamela K. Shappell fails to survive my death by
thirty (30) days, this bequest to her shall lapse and pass instead as a part
of the residue of my estate.
ITEM XVIII. I give, devise, and bequeath all the rest, residue, and
remainder of my possessions and estate of every nature and wherever situate in
equal shares, per capita and not per stirpes, to those of my two children,
PAMELA D. BOWES, of Sellersville, Pennsylvania, and ROBERT E. BOWES, JR., who
survive my death by thirty (30) days.
ITEM XIX. I appoint my attorney, GEORGE A. VAUGHN, III, of Camp Hill,
pennsylvania, executor of this my last will. Should George A. Vaughn, III,
predecease me or otherwise fail to qualify or cease to serve as executor of
this my last will, I appoint NANCY W. MCCARTNEY, executrix of this my last
will.
ITEM XX. In addition to the other powers and authorities granted to my
personal representatives by Pennsylvania law and by the other terms and
provisions of this will, I hereby give to my personal representatives the
following powers and authorities effective without court approval and until
actual distribution of all property: to compromise any claim or controversy;
to make distribution in cash or in kind, or partly in cash and partly in kind,
and in such manner as my personal representatives may determine and at
valuations finally to be fixed by them,; to invest in all forms of property,
including any stock or other securities in any corporate fiduciary or its
successor without restriction to investments authorized for Pennsylvania
fiduciaries, as my personal representatives deem proper, without regard to any
principle of risk or diversification; to retain any or all assets of my
estate, real or personal, without regard to any principle of risk or
diversification; to sell at public or private sale, to exchange, or to lease
for any period of time, any real or personal property and to give options for
sales, exchanges, or leases, for such prices ,and upon such terms or conditions

as my personal representatives deem proper; to allocate receipts and expenses
to principal or income or partly to each as my personal representatives deem
proper in their sole discretion; and to serve as guardian of any property
which passes, either under this will or otherwise, to a minor or to any person
adjudged by any court of competent jurisdict~on to be mentally incapacitated
to care for such property or for such person's own affairs, and with respect
to whom I am authorized to appoint a guardian and have not otherwise appointed
a guardian or trustee with the power in the guardian to use principal as well
as income from time to time for such person's education, support, and welfare
without regard to the ability of the parents of such person to provide for
such education, support, or welfare, and to make such payment for these
purposes, without further responsibility, directly to such person or to the
parent or any other person taking care of such person.
ITEM XXI. I direct that my personal representatives and fiduciaries
shall not be required to give bond for the faithful performance of their
duties in any jurisdiction.

The undersigned, Glenda Farner-Strasbaugh, Clerk of Orphans' Court, in accordance
with Rule 6.12, Supreme Court Orphans' Court Rules, hereby notifies the Orphans' Court
Division, Court of Common Pleas of Cumberland County, that neither the above named personal
representative nor the above named counsel for the personal representative have filed with the
Register of Wills or Clerk of the Orphans' Court his, her or its Status Report required by Rule
6.12, Supreme Court Orphans' Court Rule and that the requisite notice, pursuant to Rule 6.12,
Supreme Court Orphans' Court Rules, was given by the Clerk of the Orphans' Court on April 30,
2004, and that the ten (10) day notice to file the Status Report has expired. Accordingly, in
accordance with Rule 6.12 the Court is hereby notified of such delinquency and the undersigned
requests that a Court conduct a hearing to determine whether sanctions should be imposed upon
the delinquent personal representative or counsel for the delinquent personal representative.

I, LORRAINE F. BOWES, also known as Lorraine Bowes, Lorraine Sue Bo es,
and Sue Bowes, of Hampden Township, Cumberland County, Pennsylvania, decl re
this to be my last will and revoke any will previously made by me.
ITEM I. I direct that all my Just debts and funeral expenses, incllding
my gravemarker and all expenses of my last illness, and any and all taxes and
assessments imposed by any governmental body as a result of my death, whe her
on property passing under this will or otherwise, shall be paid from my
residuary estate as soon as practicable after my death as a part of the
expense of the administration of my estate.
ITEM II. I give and bequeath all of my diamond rings to my friend nd
neiohbor, NANCY W. MCCARTNEY, of Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, provided sh
survives my death by thirty (30) days. If Nancy W. McCartney does not su vive
my death by thirty (30) days, this bequest to her shall lapse and pass in tead
as a part of the bequest hereinafter made in Item V of my will.
ITEM III. I give and bequeath my set of sterling silver silverware
my brother, JOHN A. SHAPPELL, of Rantoul, Illinois, provided he survives
thirty (30) days. If John A. Shappell does not survive my death by thirt
(30) days, this bequest to him shall lapse and pass instead as a part of
bequest hereinafter made in Item V of my will.
ITEM IV. I give and bequeath my 1994 Ford Escort automobile to my
ROBERT E. BOWES, JR., of Point Pleasant Beach, New Jersey, provided he
survives me by thirty (30) days. If Robert E. Bowes, Jr., does not
death by thirty (30) days, this bequest to him shall lapse and pass as
a part of the bequest hereinafter made in Item V of my will.
ITEM V. I give and bequeath all of the remainder of my household goods,
automobiles, jewelry, and all other articles ot household and persona] use,
equipment and ornament, together with all insurance thereon and relating
thereto, in equal shares, per capita and not per stirpes, to those of my t
children, PAMELA D. BOWES, of Sellersville, Pennsylvania, and ROBERT E. BO
JR., who survive my death by thirty (30) days.
ITEM VI. I give and bequeath the sum of $3,000.00 to my friend, ELE NOR
DISCUILLO, of Camp Hill, Pennsylvania, provided she survives my death by
thirty (30) days. In the event Eleanor Discuillo fails to survive my deat by
thirty (30) days, this bequest to her shall lapse and pass instead as t
of the residue of my estate.

ITEM VII. I give and bequeath the sum of $1,000.00 to my friend a
neighbor, MARGARET BUTLER, (also known to me as PEG BUTLER) of Mechanicsb
pennsylvania, provided she survives my death by thirty (30) days. In th
event Margaret Butler fails to survive my death by thirty (30) days, thi
bequest to her shall lapse and pass instead as a part of the residue of
estate.
ITEM VIII. I give and bequeath the sum of $1,000.00 to my nephew,
EDWARD L. FAULK, JR." of Pottsville, Pennsylvania, provided he survives
death by thirty (30) days. In the event Edward L. Faulk, Jr., fails to
survive my death by thirty (30) days, this bequest to him shall lapse an
instead as a part of the residue of my estate.
ITEM IX. I give and bequeath the sum of $5,000.00 to my brother, J HN
A. SHAPPELL, provided he survives my death by thirty (30) days. In the e ent
John A. Shappell fails to survive my death by thirty (30) days, this bequ st
to him shall lapse and pass instead as a part of the residue of my estate.
ITEM X. I give and bequeath the sum of $2,000.00 to my friends and
neighbors, WAYNE WALTERS and JOAN WALTERS, of Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, or
the survivor of them, provided they or one of them survives my death by t irty
(30) days. In the event neither Wayne Walters or Joan Walters survive my
death by thirty (30) days, this bequest to them shall lapse and pass inst
as a part of the residue of my estate.
ITEM XI. I give and bequeath the sum of $2,000.00 to NANCY W. MCCA TNEY
provided she survives my death by thirty (30) days. In the event Nancy W
McCartney fails to survive my death by thirty (30) days, this bequest to er
shall lapse and pass instead as a part of the residue of my estate.
ITEM XII. I give and bequeath the sum of $1,000.00 to my friend an
neighbor, DAVID W. TREHARNE, of Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, provided he
survives my death by thirty (30) days. In the event David W. Treharne fa Is

ITEM XIII. I give and bequeath the sum of $500.00 to my friend and
neighbor, EVELYN KATONA, of Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, provided she sur
my death by thirty (30) days. In the event Evelyn Katona fails to surviv
death by thirty (30) days, this bequest to her shall lapse and pass inste
a part of the residue of my estate.

ITEM XV. I give and bequeath the sum of $1,000.00 to HOSPICE OF C NTRAL
PENNSYLVANIA, of Enola, Pennsylvania.
ITEM XVII. I give and bequeath the sum of $1,000.00 to my niece, AMELA
K. SHAPPELL, of Rantoul, Illinois, provided she survives my death by thirty
(30) days. In the event Pamela K. Shappell fails to survive my death by
thirty (30) days, this bequest to her shall lapse and pass instead as a part
of the residue of my estate.
ITEM XVIII. I give, devise, and bequeath all the rest, residue, an
remainder of my possessions and estate of every nature and wherever situa e in
equal shares, per capita and not per stirpes, to those of my two children,
PA~1ELA D. BOWES, of Sellersville, Pennsylvania, and ROBERT E. BOWES, ,JR., who
survive my death by thirty (30) days.
ITEM XIX. I appoint my attorney, GEORGE A. VAUGHN, III, of Camp Hi 1,
Pennsylvania, executor of this my last will. Should George A. Vaughn, III,
predecease me or otherwise fail to qualify or cease to serve as executor f
this my last will, I appoint NANCY W. MCCARTNEY, executrix of this my las_
will.
ITEM XX. In addition to the other powers and authorities granted t my
personal representatives by Pennsylvania law and by the other terms and
provisions of this will, I hereby give to my personal representatives the
following powers and authorities .effective without court approval and unt 1
actual distribution of all property: to compromise any claim or con trover y;
to make distribution in cash or in kind, or partly in cash and partly in ind,
and in such manner as my personal representatives may determine and at
valuations finally to be fixed by them; to invest in all forms of propert
including any stock or other securities in any corporate fiduciary or its
successor without restriction to investments authorized for Pennsylvania
fiduciaries, as my personal representatives deem proper, without regard any
principle of risk or diversification; to retain any or all assets of my
es~ate, real or personal, without regard to any principle of risk Or
diversification; to sell at public or private sale, to exchange, or to Ie
for any period of time, any real or personal property and to give options
sales, exchanges, or leases, for such prices and upon such terms or r.ondi

Bowes, deceased, do hereby:
1. State and acknowledge that I am an adult individual, having attained the age of at least
twenty-one;
2. Waive the filing of a formal Account or Proposed Schedule of Distribution by the
personal representative of the Estate;
3. Acknowledge that I have received all sums of money and all items of property to
which I am entitled as an heir of Lorraine F. Bowes;
4. To the extent of the sums of money and of the value of the items of property I have
received, release George A. Vaughn, III, personal representative of Lorraine F. Bowes, and his
heirs and personal representatives, from all liabilities, whether due to his negligence or
otherwise, which I may have by reason of his administration of the Estate;
5. Agree to refund to the Esfate and to the said personal representative any portion of the
sums of money and items of property to which I am not properly entitled, and, to the extent of
said sums of money and the value of said items of property, to indemnify said personal
representative and the Estate for claims made against him and to reimburse him and the Estate
for all expenses and costs incurred in connection with any such claims; and
6. Declare that this instrument shall be legally binding upon me, my personal
representatives, and assigns.
