EMERGENCY PETITION
TO INSTRUCT AND AUTHORIZE THE REGISTER OF WILLS
TO COMPLETE MARRIAGE LICENSE APPLICATION
AT HOLY SPIRIT HOSPITAL
AND WAIVER OF WAITING PERIOD
Petitioners, Clarence A. Overcash, Jr. and Shirley M. Corman, by and
through their attorney, Paul D. Daggs, Esquire, respectfully states the following:
1. Petitioners current residence is located at 144 Glenwood Road, Dillsburg,
Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, 17019.
2. Petitioners have been boyfriend/girlfriend for over 22 years.
3. Petitioner, Shirley M. Corman, age 73, is currently ill and hospitalized at
Holy Spirit Hospital in Camp Hill; Room 232 of the Intensive Care Unit.
4. Petitioner, Shirley M. Corman, is competent and able to communicate.
5. Facing poor health and the possibility of death, Petitioner, Shirley M.
Corman, wishes to be married in the hospital to Petitioner, Clarence A. Overcash,
Jr.
6. Petitioner, Shirley M. Corman, is unable to leave the hospital to travel to the
Register of Wills in order to complete a marriage license application.
7. Although residents of Northern York County, the Cumberland County
Register of Wills is closer in proximity to Holy Spirit Hospital.

8. Petitioner, Shirley M. Corman's date of birth is September 30, 1938, and her
social security number is
9. Petitioner, Clarence A. Overcash, Jr.'s date of birth is June 11, 1945, and his
social security number is
WHEREFORE, Petitioners respectfully request that this Honorable Court
grant the following relief:
(a) Enter an ORDER instructing and authorizing the Register of Wills, or
her designee, to visit Petitioner, Shirley M. Corman, in the hospital for purposes of
completing the marriage application.
(b) FURTHER ORDER that the typical waiting period be waived; and
(c) Any other relief this Honorable Court deems appropriate.
