Re: Request for Transcripts
In re: Estate of Linwood ~B. Phillips, Jr. - No. 21-2046-122
Dear Clerk:
As you are aware, I am currently presiding over the above-captioned matter that was
previously assigned to Judge Joseph Rehkamp of the 41St Judicial District. Your office
graciously provided me a copyof the extensive record created in this matter. Thank you.
I held a status conference with the parties at the York County Judicial Center on June 1,
2010. To resolve the issues before the Court, I will need a transcript of at least one of the
hearings conducted before Judge Rehkamp. Your office informed my law clerk, Kyle
Gee, that I should make a written. request for transcripts, which will be supplied at the
expense of Cumberland County, which maintains. jurisdiction over this case.
I also understand that there is no list available of the dates of ail prior hearings in this
matter. However, from the record, a hearing(s) is referenced ir1 the following orders:
Order dated September 24, 2008 (It is hereby ordered amd directed that a hearing
on the proposed settlement of this matter is hereby scheduled for October 21,
2008, at 10:00 a.m. in Courtroom #2 of the Perry County Courthouse ...").
Order dated October 24, 2008 ("It further appearing aftfrr a he •n>? in this matter
that the proposed compromise is just and fair and in the best interest of the estate
and heirs ...").
A review of the transcript from the hearing(s) referenced in these 9/24/08 and 101/24/08
orders is necessary for a resolution of the issues now before the Court. At your earliest
convenience, could you please provide me the original or copy of the transcript of that
hearing(s). Thank you.

If any party or legal counsel requests or has requested a transcript of proceedings other
than the one(s) for which I am requesting, please inform my chambers of such requests so
that I might also obtain a transcript of other proceedings.
