RECEIPT AND RELEASE .. ~'
KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS the Kearneysville Presbyterian Church,
a legatee of Helen H. Benedum, deceased, hereby acknowledges that it has received of
and from Judith S. Brodovicz, Barbara B. Rowe and Harry L. Bricker, Jr., Co-Executors for
the Estate of Helen H. Benedum, deceased, a sum in the amount of FIVE HUNDRED
DOLLARS AND NO CENTS ($500.00) in full satisfaction of all sum or sums of money,
share or shares, purports and dividends which were due, owing, payable and belonging to
the Church, by any means whatsoever, for or on account of our share, part or dividend of
the real, personal and mixed Estate of the said Helen H. Benedum, deceased.
The authority for the bequest is stated as follows:
"ITEM THIRD: I give and bequeath the sum of five hundred
dollars ($500.00) to KEARNEYSVILLE PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH,
presently situate in Kearneysville, West Virginia 25430."
AND THEREFORE, the Kearneysville Presbyterian Church, does bythese presents,
release, remise, quitclaim and forever discharge the said Judith S. Brodovicz, Barbara B.
Rowe and Harry L. Bricker, Jr., Co-Executors, their heirs, executors, administrators,
successors and assigns of and from the full distributive share, purport, dividend and
interest of the aforesaid Estate, and of and from all actions, suits, payments, accounts,
reckonings, claims and demands whatsoever, for or by reason thereof, or of any other act,
matter, cause, or thing whatsoever, to the day of the date of these presents.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, and intending to be legally bound, I have hereunto set
