Dear Ms. Farner Strasbaugh:
I am a daughter of Harry D. Jones, deceased. You will find enclosed preliminary Inheritance Tax
payment for the above Estate. This payment is for my share of a transfer on death (TOD) Vanguard
account owned by my Father at his death. It is expected the Pennsylvania Department of Revenue
will issue to me a form REV-1543A, Information Notice and Taxpayer Response, regarding the
account. I am to be billed separately for the Inheritance Tax due on my portion of the account, but I
have not yet received that form.
In order to take advantage of the 3-month, preliminary payment, 5% discount under Pennsylvania
law, the attorney for the Estate, David C. Wertime, Esquire, has prepared for me the following
calculation:
