The statutory order of priority applies only in determining
t;he respective rights of iulsecured creditors among them-
selves, and does not apply to those who, during the decedent's
lifetime, have obtained secuz'ity for their claims by mortgage
or by lien of judgment.2 Such secured creditors continue to
have first priority with respect to the encumbered property
of the decedent.3
The purpose of the rule fixing the order of priority among

c,^^,nnecticn with an estate is to favor certain classes of credi-
