NOTE: The foregoing oath shall be administered by some person authorized to administer
oaths.
The oaths of STATE OFFICERS, JUSTICES OF THE SUPREME COURT and JUDGES
OF THE SUPERIOR AND COMMONWEALTH COURTS shall be filed in the office of the
Secretary of the Commonwealth.
The oaths of other judicial and county officers shall be filed with the Prothonotary of the
county in which the oath is taken.

In order to complete the commissioning
process, you must return your completed,
signed oath of office to the Secretary of the
Commonwealth where, by law, it must be
filed of record.
Please forward your completed, signed oath
of office immediately after your swearing in.
Oaths should be mailed to the Bureau of
Commissions, Elections and Legislation,
Room 303 North Office Building, Harrisburg,
PA 17120.
