We forward a copy of our email of September 10, 2012, to the parties in the above matter.
At the time that we sent that email, we did not realize that the same objector had filed two sets of objections within
a couple days of each other. That is why the email refers to $1,153.45 in issue. We now understand that the actual
amount in issue is in excess of $10,000.

Gentlemen:
As you are aware, I have been appointed auditor in the above Estate.
Preliminary review of the objections indicates that the amount in controversy is $1,153.45.
At $250 per hour for auditor's fees plus court reporter fees, the expenses of audit could very easily exceed the
amount in controversy. Moreover, where those expenses can be charged to one or the other of the parties or both as part
of the audit process, it would be suggested that we schedule a settlement conference to be held in this office to see if the
issues can be resolved without incurring the substantial expenses of audit.
If either the Estate or the objector or both have no interest in a settlement conference, please let us know as soon as
possible, and I will issue a directive for prehearing memoranda. If there is not mutual interest in a settlement conference,
I will also be requesting that each of the parties deposit the sum of $1,250 as security for auditor's fees and expenses. If
either party objects to that, I will ask the court to order it.
Because the objector is unrepresented by counsel, I would state that it would be impermissible for me to speak
with either objector or counsel for the Executor in the absence of the other. However, the parties would be welcome to
communicate with this office in writing by email at the above email address or otherwise with a copy to the other side.
