ORDER AND DECREE
AND NOW, this I I ' day of Off abtr , 2012, upon presentation and consideration of the
Petition for Appointment of Dickinson College Private Police, it is ORDERED AND DECREED as follows:
1. Allen C. Miller, an adult individual, residing at 25 W. Pomfret Street Apt. 17, Carlisle, PA
17013, is appointed pursuant to 22 Pa. C.S. §501 to act as a private police officer for the Dickinson College
campus.
2. That before commencing the duties of a private police officer for Dickinson College, said
Appointee shall take and subscribe to the following oath of office as required by Article 6, Section 3 of the
Constitution of Pennsylvania, which oath shall be recorded by the Cumberland County Recorder of Deeds:
I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support, obey and defend the
Constitution of the United States and the Constitution of the
Commonwealth, and that I will discharge the duties of my office with
fidelity.
3. Said Appointee shall, when on duty, wear a metallic shield with the words "Special
Officer, Dickinson College" inscribed thereon.
4. Counsel shall transmit a certified copy of this Order and Decree to the Office of the
Recorder of Deeds where the same shall be recorded with the Oath required by Article 6 of the
Pennsylvania Constitution.
5. At such time as Dickinson College shall no longer require the services of said Appointee,
a notice to that effect under the Dickinson College corporate seal shall be filed in the Office of the
Recorder of Deeds. This information shall be noted upon the margin of the record where tc Oar and
