ESTATE OF ELMIRA C. RYDER, DECEASED NO. 21-84-431
Register of Wills for the County of Cumberland, in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania:
The petition of JOAN A. RYDER, wife and sole heir of Newell M. Ryder, deceased,
respectfully represents:
1. That Newell M. Ryder, the Administrator of the Estate of Elmira C. Ryder,
deceased, to whom Letters of Administration were granted on July 10, 1984, died
March 7 2011;
2. That the decedent was domiciled in Cumberland County; that her last family or
principal residence was in the Borough of Lemoyne, and that she departed this life
in the County of Cumberland, and Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, on the 7 1 day
of July, 1984;
3. That the decedent was survived by:
Newell M. Ryder Son 617 Park Ave., New Cumberland, PA
Charles R Ryder Son R. D. 41, Lewisberry, PA
M. Kathleen Tysinger Daughter Centerville, Virginia
Anthony M. Ryder, Jr. Son Post Office Box 39, Camp Hill, PA
4. That the decedent left a bank account un-administered by the deceased
Administrator to the value of$25,572.67 as near as can be ascertained. situated as
follows:
Fulton Bank Account#3622-91944.
5. That:
Newell M Ruder has since died, on March 7, 2011, survived by his wife and sole
heir, JOAN A. RYDER (Petitioner).
Anthony M. Ryder, Jr. has since died on May 13, 2008.
M. Kathleen Tysinger has since died on June 7, 2009.
Charles R. Ryder is alive, but suffering from Alzheimer's Disease. A Renunciation
executed by his son, Gregory S. Ryder as Power of Attorney is attached hereto.
Therefore, JOAN A. RYDER, respectfully applies for letters of administration de bonis
non upon the assets, as yet un-administered, of which the said ELMIRA C. RYDER died
possessed under the provisions of Section 3159 of the Probate, Estates and Fiduciaries Code.

Dear Register Strasbaugh:
We are petitioning your office to appoint Joan A. Ryder as Administrator of the above estate. At
your request, we have been trying to locate any surviving heirs of the children of Elmira C. Ryder. Her
only living child. Charles Ryder, resides in Lewisberry, Pennsylvania and suffers from Alzheimer disease.
We have been in contact with him and his family, and in fact, his son, Gregory Ryder, acting as Power of
Attorney for Charles has already executed a Renunciation in this matter. Elmira's other children all
survived her, but all of her children except Charles predeceased Newell A. Ryder, her Administrator.
Elmira's daughter, Martha Kathleen Ryder Tysinger died on June 7, 2009 in Centreville,
Virginia. There is no record of an estate being opened and attempts to locate her children have been
fruitless. A son, Anthony M. Ryder, Jr. lived in Ickesburg, Pennsylvania, but he passed away on May 13,
2008. At the time of his death, he was survived by his wife and a son who lived in Baltimore. To date we
have not been able to locate either his wife or his son, and there is no record of an estate being opened.
Newell A. Ryder died March 7, 2011, survived only by his wife, Joan A Ryder. Newell A. Ryder
was appointed as Administrator of his Mother's Estate on July 10. 1984.
There is only one asset remaining for distribution in Elmira Kyder's estate, a bank account
containing the proceeds from the sale of real estate. All other administration, including filing and
payment of all Inheritance Taxes, has been completed. At this time, we respectfully request that you
appoint Joan A. Ryder as Administrator of the Estate of Elmira C. Ryder to complete the final distribution
of the residual of the estate and close the bank account.

R. Ryder's Estate. The original Petition is in your file.
As discussed with your staff, Joan A. Ryder has already been sworn in as Administrator,
you have her Petition and the Renunciation of Charles R. Ryder and the full Power of Attorney,
as well as all the fees have been paid.
Please issue one (1) Short Certificate and send it to our office in the enclosed postage
paid envelope provided.
