Petition to Obtain Title of an Abandon Vehicle
(State the Facts of the case)
On the weekend of September 2% 2001,my brother Jay D. McCorkle
ardved af my residence af 294 Smith Rood, Shippensburg, PA 17257, with
one t 963 Chevrolet Bel-Air 2-door sedan, VIN #31611 L151722. His
intention was to toke said vehicle to "Foil Carlisle". Before Jay ordved on
the weekend of September 29th, we spoke on the phone o couple of
times over o pedod of several weeks and I informed him that he should
call to reserve space os this is one of the largest events of the year. Jay's
response was 'TII toke my chances." Well he took his chance and
couldn't get a space. When ,lay found this out, he informed me that he
was going to Pittsburgh, PA for o few days to visit friends. Several days
later, Joy called and informed me he would be leaving "the car" and
that he would be back in o few weeks to pick it up. Well, it's been almost
4 1/2 months since the car's orflvol and his departure, and the vehicle is
still in my garage. I hove called several times and each time it's the same
excuse, "give me a couple more weeks". Since the car is an antique or
classic auto, I probably could sell it, however, he didn't or won't send the
title, just more excuses.
I feel as though I have waited long enough for his cooperation and now
I'm asking for a judgment of ownership.
